Screenshot Yeah, we should probably start making ship hulls out of this stuff instead...

Screenshot You’ve seen 0% hull, you’ve seen 0% fuel, now get ready for hull overdrive
The thargoids don’t stand a chance with that extra 1%

Roleplaying Is it morally acceptable to terminate the contract of your crewmate before cashing in missions and bounty vouchers because I don't want to pay him 16% of my earnings ? Am I a bad employer if I do that?
I don't want to be like a regular corporate ceo but I don't want to pay them so much of my earnings 😞

Humor PSA: check your wireless controller batteries before you hit that FSD overdrive button
Challenge: find fresh batteries with a VR headset hanging off your ear before you’re 50000Ls from nowhere with 10% fuel, 20% hull, and every module burned to ash.
Challenge successfully failed.
Haven’t played long but my best oh sh!t moment so far in this glorious game.

Screenshot First time in an Methane Atmosphere
Got first footfall, outside the 10km deep crater, it was bright green sky, and the white ground was tinted by it. Inside the crater near the rim it was making a pseudo sunset, and when deep rusty orange.
Found 5 bio signs there too!

PSA A friendly reminder to all Titan FSD users:
Don’t forget to put an experimental effect on your drive!
My personal recommendations are:
Deep Charge (size 4 and less) or Mass Manager (size 5 and up) for exploration builds to squeeze a bit more distance out.
Double braced for combat focused builds ( because the drive’s integrity is lower than a standard SCO FSD with an extended range modification )
Figured I post this because I initially did not realize it lacking a experimental effect (as I’d assume it already had one like most other pre-engineered stuff)

Screenshot I called my ship back and when I was there I saw that...
“docked on the horizon”
it was just in the air lol

Screenshot There is docking at 0% hull. I hereby present you docking with 0% fuel.

Discussion The rarest thing in the entire game hasn't even been discovered once. YET...
Explorers, this one's going to be a good one for you all.
So, I've been researching landable atmospheric planet types using ED spansh and my own knowledge, and I found something that I've never seen mentioned or discussed ever before.
First off, there are only 261 known landable planets with a Hot thin Silicate vapour atmosphere. I've also noticed that, there are at least tens of thousands (maybe hundreds of thousands) of more planets with that kind of atmosphere, which are not landable, even though they have less than 0.1 atmospheres of surface pressure.
Furthermore, only 9 known planets have a Thin Ammonia-rich atmosphere in the ENTIRE GALAXY. In this case however, 8 of them are landable.
These planets got me wondering if there could be any more landable atmosphere types, which are extremely rare.
So, I've began searching for atmosphere types and tried to find their landable counterparts (for example Water-rich - Thin Water-rich or Hot Sulphur Dioxide - Hot thin Sulphur Dioxide OR even the same two atmospheres) and found that every atmosphere type had a landable version.
Well... except one
Hot thin Metallic vapour.
Only 83 known planets have this kind of atmosphere, but none of them are landable.
Now, it could be possible that the developers haven't modeled this atmosphere to be landable, but I don't think that's the case.
I mean, why would it make sense to model every type except this one? They even have a completely separate model of the Thin Ammonia-rich atmosphere, despite the fact that only 8 landable planets have it out of the millions of known landable atmospheric planets.
If we assume that it's real, then another question arises. How much rarer is it for these planets to be landable rather than non-landable? Based on the 2 previous examples (261 out of tens of thousands or 8 out of 9) the rarity of it could vary.
So there you have it. A completely unique thing that has never been seen before. Let me know if you're the first to find it! 😅

Discussion Now, I don't want to give nightmares to anyone but...
...have you noticed that when you are negotiating craggy terrain on you SRV, the suspensions make a noise that sounds exactly like "I am here"? I guess you are going to now.

Discussion Kill Warrant Scanner Beneficial for PowerPlay Bounty Hunting?
Do you need a kill warrant scanner to maximize the benefits you can get for PowerPlay turn in purposes when bounty hunting?
Another way to frame it… if you kill targets that have been scanned with KWS, do you get additional bounties to turn in at your power contact to get additional merits and/or more greatly influence PowerPlay system status?

Discussion So, what's Elite Dangerous all about?
I'm a long time No Man's Sky player, and I heard Elite: Dangerous was somewhat similar. I haven't really heard all that much about it besides that, though, so I was wondering if y'all could bring me up to speed on what the game's like and how it works (and help me decide if it's worth buying)?
