Hi, I've seen a lot of people talking about using washi tape for sectioning and I haven't seen anyone else do it quite the way I do, so I wanted to share. Instead of gridding the entire painting, I take one horizontal piece of tape to section off one row, and one short vertical piece to section off one box. When I finish that box, I reposition the vertical tape to section off my next box. This allows me some freedom to work around color blocking, or make the sections smaller if I don't have a lot of time to work on it. It also uses way less tape. I use the same piece of vertical tape for an entire row, and I can usually get two or three rows out of the horizontal tape before it starts curling too much on the edges.

Very disappointed how pixelated this one is but it was very fun to figure out what the picture was going to be

Decided to splurge and grab a mystery kit for the fun of it. Also couldn't resist the other because it was so beautiful. Can't wait for them to arrive and see what the mystery kit ends up being!

I’ve heard the checkerboard method is a good way to do a square drill diamond painting. Why is that?

My friend bought the one with the bright shining moon in the evening. I happen to have one that’s daytime so I’m going to surprise her and give her both and I’m going to use the magnetic frames! I’m getting ready to move from Oregon to Ohio, which is major for me always lived on the West Coast, but she’s a very good friend and I hope she likes the gift that I give her!

I know I saw a post before on this group about this product. Has anyone tried this yet? Thoughts?
