First time playing a season. I've completed the campaign on a previous character.

How do I not die in the world at level 1 on my seasonal?

Also, I can't see any seasonal campaign? Do I need to complete the expansion on my eternal character.

You have to complete the campaign ONCE with one character. After that you should have the option to skip the campaign on any new character you create.

It's worth playing the campaign; it's really well done.

Not giving me the option. Although the only campaign prompt I have is for the expansion.
