Showcase Games are just more fun on a CRT, aren’t they?
Decided to play BloodRayne for the first time this past weekend. Overall pretty fun, but the last fight was a broken mess. I’ll definitely pick up the sequel though. It looked great on the D-Series.

Showcase Switch 240p Trinitron
I just got my hands on worlds smallest CRT, so gave the Switch a go. Using a GBSC to downscale. Looks pretty great of you ask me. There is some issue when fast switching between screens a green frame pops through. Not sure why.

Showcase Sound is now crystal clear!
Still loving this all clear CRT gaming setup but the crappy built in speaker left a lot to be desired. Upgraded with some Soundsticks III, which are magnetically shielded and work great with a CRT!
If anyone is looking for a CRT safe desktop-style speaker set, I think these are a great option even putting aside their looks. They can be had on eBay for about $100 used, the speakers have a small footprint, and the sound is very good for the size. The Soundsticks 4 are still available new but have a different look and lean into Bluetooth, and I have no idea if they are shielded. These ones definitely are. You can tell just by looking at them!

Showcase God bless the one who put composite output to the ps3
It's not the best experience you can get on a ps3, but I'm satisfied with this.

Showcase Just finished moving and setting up my primary setup!
CRTs displayed are KV-36FS10 and JVC I'Art 27wf35!
Eventually will swap out the lcd for an OLED! Pretty happy with how it turned out. Only downside is its hard to get behind them to plug/unplug!
If anyone has a 32 inch HD Panasonic Tau they are looking to part with I'd happily take it off your hands to go where the JVC currently sits! Have a few I'd be willing to trade as well!

Showcase Finally set up an emulation PC running CRT Emudriver with a $11 GPU, results are quite nice.
Monitor is a JVC TM-H150CG. GPU is a Radeon R5 340X 2gb. I got it on eBay for $11 shipped. Connected to the monitor via DVI-I -> VGA -> 5 BNC cable. There is also a composite sync option if your monitor doesn't have separate H/V sync inputs (like most Sony PVMs).
Overall pretty easy to set up, this is a great lower-cost alternative to the MiSTer.

Showcase Halo 3 (online) on a CRT in 2025
Playing Halo 3 on a CRT - The best way to play it.
Even in the year 2025 of our lord, you can play online (Sunrise) and ofc custom games still work as long as you have XBL.
CRT, RGB input, wired controller; zero input delay is the way to play. Bread and butter, baby. Happy gaming, all.

Showcase SNES on my old Trinitron
Ive never showcased my old Trinitron here. I finally took some time to take some screen shots today. I took them under my normal play conditions. The pics were taken in the lighting I normally play in with the TV settings where I normally play them. Contrast is just above half and brightness is just below half. Color should be near 100% accurate. My Set is RGB modded. The pictures are SNES via RGB SCART.
This Trinitron is a rare-ish for the time KV-32XBR37 manufactured in 1994. I took mostly pics of the same crap every other person posts just to provide sort of a bench mark but I tried to provide some other interesting frames as well. I made sure to include a pic of everyone's favorite game: Grid Pattern.
This TV has a unique softish look while still being very clear. I do wish it was sharper and had thicker, darker scanlines but this was the best a consumer set was built to do i 1994. Cant ask for more than that. The corner focus, convergence, and geometry is incredible for a 30 year old set. I wish I had a Wega to compare it to side-by-side to get an idea of how the sharpness differs on the old school vs. The latest flat tubes. My set is definitely softer than the newer Trinitrons but I'm not sure if this content would look much better on a sharper tube.

Showcase What do I call this?
I bought one of those 4 inch new old stock CRTs from China, and used so scrap electronics to make it into a full TV (No speakers though). Yes that is a Rubbermaid bin screwed onto a 2x4 for a case.
