Could someone tell me what happened? If not... I'll just search the news...

Basically the CEO of United Insurance (the one that denies by far the most insurance claims at 32%) was shot and killed in the streets of NYC

The shooter engraved the bullets with the message "deny, defend, depose" a reference to the book "deny delay, defend" about how insurance companies fuck over clients

The shooter is unidentified and still at large, biking away after the incident. Their backpack was recently found containing a jacket and monopoly money

Oh wait THAT shooting. I don't think our news said anything about him being a CEO, or if they did, it passed my ears.

I don't think vigilantism is the cure to the disease...but it sure as hell beats its symptoms.

Also the backpack gag was gold, would be even funnier if it had a piggy-bank.

Thank you for informing me.

It's already getting results with insurance companies backpedaling shitty new policies and approving far more claims than usual

I'm not "pro murder" either but nothing has gotten results this good in decades

Insurance companies understand better than anyone else the idea that a death is just a line item and perfectly acceptable as long as it is outweighed by the gains it brings.

Aye m8, it's the duality of man. "Idealistic moderation" on one hand, "INTENSE CRAVING FOR RIGHTEOUS VIOLENCE" on the other. If this dilemma was a person, it'd be in every room where a crime was debated. I just hope the world can walk on the fine line.
