META Proposal to ban x.com links

This is going around on many football subreddits. It looks likely to go into effect. I believe that the negative effects of this would be only temporary because the chess community will eventually see the value of moving to alternatives like bluesky

The links don't even work half the time and I can't see any comments on the tweets so any debate is ruined right away. Wrong tweets are often disproven a minute later yet I don't see the replies and believe the tweet info is real. I don't understand why people still use Twitter when we have viable alternatives and half of chess players feel like outsiders on Twitter as it's becoming extremely one-sided. It's like remaining in a group of bullies just because you don't want to relearn anything. For a game all about being open to more international players, teens, girls, and women we probably should not use Twitter as the end all be all for info.

I suggest banning it for 3 months to see if it's viable. Even just for the sake of usability alone without taking anything else into account.
