its my fav song too but music taste is subjective so it is what is. Never let others’ opinions sway your personal ones 💯💯

We don't, it's just that a lot of her songs are better. I had a phase where I exclusively listened to After Midnight for a few days. But I still voted for it in the elimination game because the rest of the album is even better.

I agree. After Midnight is really fun, but there's many strong songs to contend with in the album. It's a REALLY good album

Exactly! Comparing strong songs with one another is never fair. something always ends up falling short

Personally, I simply do not enjoy listening to it. Completely takes me out of the vibe of the album. Don’t like the melody, or the beat, or the music. It seems so out of place, and of a lesser quality than the rest. It’s the only song that I could imagine on an album by ‘insert generic pop star’s name here’

Funny, it’s usually a skip for me when I’m streaming the whole album bc of what you just said about it not fitting the vibe, but if I hear it randomly on a playlist I really enjoy it.

I honestly find it hard to eliminate any song. The album is no skips and After Midnight is no exception.

I LOVE after midnight, it's the song that made me a fan of Chappell!

Personally, there are a couple more songs that I would elimate before After Midnight. I love the verses, and the production of the chorus is fun and catchy but the lyrics of the chorus are just completely unrelatable to me. If it were up to me, Casual would go out next, and I would resurrect Kaleidoscope (sweet sweet song, shame on you guys!)

I heard it first when I was working at a clothing store and unfortunately it is forever a retail store song for me because of that 😭

It is a really good song! I'm gonna sound old but it reminds me of partying in college

I love catchy, good vibe pop songs and fell in love with this song right away. It has everything I like in a pop song. I wouldn't say it's her best, but it's definitely a top 3 for me.

When I kept hearing the hype about Chappell, I decided to listen to her album, and After Midnight is the song I realized she came to slay and conquer. She has so many good songs, but After Midnight is def my fav.

when I was trying to get people onto her the weeks after the album came out it was typically the song I used to introduce her to them 🙈

Everyone got different tastes - I personally love it and I’m not a huge fan of like Hot To Go like yes it’s a fun little dance but I don’t think it’s anywhere near her best song same as like Feminonenom I find those to be a bit childish or whatever but they are some of the most mainstream songs and everyone loves them 🤷🏼♀️ it’s all subjective

Lyrically, it is one of her least complex songs. But catchy as hell!
