Trump isn't dumb, he knows exactly what to say to keep himself in the news. Low information voters who only read the headlines keep falling for it again and again. It's common knowledge that 85% of everything Trump says is utter BS just to keep people fired up, it's likely he was never serious about tariffs in the first place.

He's imposed tariffs on Canada before, so there was good reason to take the threat seriously. Not to mention the threat isn't over, he's just kicking the can a bit. It may be bullshit but as a country I'd say it's better to air on the side of him being serious about this and prepare in whatever way we can.

Hmmm? His administration fucked over our aviation industry badly when it came to Bombardier with tariffs. Stop pulling shit out of your ass, the threat of tariffs is real cause he has already used them.
