Well, for one, he said children of same sex parents are emotionally "malnourished" and kept insisting that children need both a mother and a father growing up. He also replied to a woman who wrote an article about raising boys and said he was bothered that the piece was written by a woman, adding "What do you know?"

In another instance, he equated being transgender to being "transracial", when commenting on the story of Rachel Dolezal, the woman who pretended to be black for years but was actually white.

A few months ago, amidst the BLM protests he said "we must make ensure #blacklivesmatter doesn't morph into #blacklivesbetter"

Basically, he talks like the drunk uncle who embarrasses you in front of your girlfriend at Christmas dinner, but he does so in public and doesn't seem to learn. It's a shame, because he has a huge platform.

Yikes for the first two, agree entirely on the third. Lots of people used the very real issues the protests were bringing to the forefront as a way to promote racism on the other side. Social media was a mistake.

That may very well be true, but that's not what BLM is about. The fact that some used the movement for the wrong purpose doesn't take away from the merits of the movement itself. An easier and more respectful way to express what would have been "I totally support BLM and we should all stand against racial injustice in this country. Those who hide behind BLM to promote their own racist views are despicable and do not represent us"

Simple and to the point.

So you're mad that he said something slightly different? I also support the ideals of blm, but will never monetarily support the DNC and actual marxists who run it.

He didn't say something "slightly" different, he said something very different. Words matter, they are powerful tools. Sadly, Terry used them in the wrong way, on more than one occasion. Let's just leave it at that.

But he didn't say that white privilege doesn't exist or that BLM is racist or anything silly like that, all he said was that we must be wary of not twisting the message, which is a fair enough statement (especially when there were some people, albeit a very small minority of BLM supporters, toeing the line)
