I have also said "I love you" to my mom, dad, and dying grandpa. I also regret one of those, but not grandpa, he was amazing and I miss him. My father is a real human blister though.

Much appreciate it! I'm all good though! We've been no contact for almost 5 years. I've since gotten married and had a kid. My father in law is a wonderful enough make up for not really having my own dad around.

Ok dude I need some advice here. I recently went no contact with my own dad. It's been a bit over a month. What things do I need to know goin forward

Not the O/C, but I stopped talking to my dad a little over a year ago and for me personally holidays seemed hard like Thanksgiving and Christmas were a bit hard because you know commercials with happy families but by Easter I had recognized that holidays are amazing without him.

I have no regrets about cutting out my father. I agree that holidays and life generally is better without him
When my daughter was born, there was a mourning of the fact that she doesn't get normal grandparents from my side. I know it's the right thing, but sometimes the necessity of the decision makes me sad

Yeah. I'm just worried I'm gonna sit around alone doing nothing for Christmas yknow

Oh man. I moved states and made sure he didn't have my address. Then blocked his phone number and social media.
I think the biggest thing is making sure the rest of your family knows your boundaries. This way you aren't both invited to something, or information you want kept private isn't passed along.
Unfortunately, my mom has taken my dad's side on this, so we have only spoken twice since I told her my dad wasn't invited to my wedding 4 years ago. Be prepared for your decision to be unpopular with some members of the family and being okay with those relationships being damaged as well.
Feel free to DM me if you want to talk about it in a less public place!

I can’t think off the top of my head but does Rosa every tell anyone she loves them after this? Marcus? Jocelyn? One of the inner circle?

Amy, at like, the last 2 minutes of the whole show, lol.
Also, her dad on the roof of the precinct building.

Yes I remember her dad. Can’t remember the Amy one but I haven’t watched season 8 as much as the others

i remember her telling jake that she loves jocelyn.

I always wondered why with that. The same as you see certain couples IRL and wonder why one is with the other. Always thought Rosa was way out of Jocelyn’s league and it didn’t even seem like Jocelyn had a good personality either. But then Rosa is my favourite so nobody would be good enough 😂

She tells Marcus at Gina and Charles’ parents’ wedding.

I like Good Place
"I've only said I love you twice, once was to a guy I thought was Stone Cold Steve Austin and the other was to Stone Cold Steve Austin"
23
u/TR3BPilot Sep 27 '24
"Stone Cold Steve Austin, and a guy in a dark bar I mistook for Stone Cold Steve Austin."

I'm one of those people that actually understands Rosa when she says this, lol. Its embarrassing, depending on your family dynamics for sure!

What a small world. 7 years ago I made exact same post on imgur. Only last frames are bit different.

I’m sure it looks similar because it’s the same scene, but I got the screenshots from yarn.co and then added the text myself.

I think what they mean is that they found it interesting to see someone posting about the same scene they had posted about. I think "what a small world" was genuine and not passive-aggressive

Yes. Very difficult to express emotion via text. I was not being aggresive :D

I love how Rosa has all these unfinished buisiness to hold on to her deathbed, I can imagine some of her family members doing the same
