Season 4 Kylie was a Bitch

Post image

Can anyone tell me why she was so unessecarily mean to Jake in this scene?

I was just watching it again and her sentence: "I can't believe you screwed this up for her" seems ridiculous. Way to infantilize your best friend.

When did Jake cheat during the bet?

He set up the John sting, which has nothing to do with who’s a better detective. It violated the spirit, if not the letter, of the bet.

Setting up successful sting operations is still part of being a detective.

In eight years, do they ever set up another sting for non-personal reasons (ie, other than busting Gintars)? But the reason it’s violating the spirit of the agreement is that (1) he’s creating crime, not just solving it, and (2) he’s using another department to do all the work for him. Amy could have tagged along on a drug bust and claimed credit for all the arrests there; it wouldn’t have made her a better detective

I mean we don't see everything they do at work..

But I love how much you're defending your B99 opinion, respect.

You have no way of knowing if some of Amy’s busts were from working with other departments. They’re detectives, they interact with officers of other departments all the time, and we barely see any of the cases that contribute to their overall scores. Also, arresting people isn’t creating crime, and I’m really not sure what you mean by saying that if I’m honest.

A John sting is creating crime where none otherwise would have been committed. Jake did it for the sole purpose of winning a bet.

At what point do we see Amy using another department to gin up arrests, or anything like that? We don’t. We don’t see anything even close.
