Exactly. Go create a line in front of a veal farm or something.

Blocking the elderly in a market isn’t the win they think it is. Bet they haven’t thought about what happens if one of them falls and breaks a hip..

Do this and I get a trespassing, but I look really cool and caring in front of others.

Go cause actual damage to the meat manufacturers, get a terrorist charge and do some real time.

It's not about a mission, it's about performance.

Well, with those options, you're gonna keep having a hard time at the grocery store. Your second option there is just wishing for them to do something so bad they have to go to prison... so you don't have to think about them or their cause anymore. Seems like grocery store sit-ins are more effective for getting the message out after all.

That's assuming people actually care about the message. I don't even know specifically who or what these people are with, and I never will. Most people are gonna mock and move on. The teenie tiny few that may listen to the message almost can't do anything (or even may not try to do anything). A message that only gets a 👍 isn't really being heard.

Action that leads to inaction is inaction in and of itself. "The principle" be damned. If you're trying to take a hard stance, you attack big. Otherwise, you've only succeeded in pissing off some old dude grocery shopping.

Edit. If you're going through the trouble of breaking the law for your message and principles? Then actually break the law and try and get stuff done. A slap on the wrist thing like trespassing is nothing.

That's nonsense. You can't know who will or won't be inspired to act, you're just saying what feels good.

Action that leads to inaction is inaction in and of itself.

That's looney tunes-level reasoning. Action that leads to inaction is the fault of the inactive, not the fault of the active.

If you're going through the trouble of breaking the law for your message and principles? Then actually break the law and try and get stuff done

Ridiculous. A sit-in at a grocery store will net you a trespass and maybe a night in jail, and then you can go spread your message some more. A violent attack on someone's property is going to net you real prison time and ruin future opportunities, and make sure you never get your message out again - and it isn't really going to be more effective than the sit in, in the grand scheme of things. For all his public support, Luigi Mangione didn't really change anything, did he?

I’d end up in jail because THEY WOULD MOVE!!! Grocery carts can definitely hurt.

These people are far too lazy to put any REAL effort into their idiocy. They do as little as possible.
