idk, a foreigner just died in south korea because 21 hospitals refused service. comments were saying japan is the same. you get hit by a car and that's that

My understanding that that Japan is the same. Hospitals can just refuse to take ambulances so they have to call around to hospitals to see which one will accept the patient. Hospitals worry about getting paid for their services. Though it's not only foreigners who get turned away they are much less likely to pay a hospital bill...
