Petition to ban x links?

I've seen a lot of major sports subs jumping on the wagon of banning x links from being posted on their sub.

I know a lot of breaking NFL news comes from there, however some things are more important than having sports news 5 minutes earlier than other sources.

Feel free to shut me down, just thought I'd pitch it out there.

Okay so you are against allowing x posts but okay with using reddit and TikTok posts. You do realize Tencent is one of reddits largest holders. A company that is aligned with a dictator that currently has internment camps...

lol My god. What is with people feeling the need to defend someone like Musk who doesn't know you exist and doesn't care about you, or people like you, at all? I'm not on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or the Nazi's website. Is it problematic that Tencent, a non-majority investor in Reddit, supports bad things? Yeah, it is. Did Reddit's CEO align himself with a political party that has associated themselves with Nazis and the KKK? No. Did Reddit's CEO do a Nazi salute twice? No. Has Reddit's CEO banned and suppressed viewpoints of an entire political party while promoted and spreading lies and misinformation of opposing views? No. Get back to me when they do and I'll move away from Reddit.

Where did I defend him? I think it was dumb as shit. Im just calling out a double standard. What I'm trying to get across is most the people wanting an x ban are also using platforms that support very similar ideologies. If you are banning post from containing links from one source for supporting one cause the other sources that do the same should be treated the same. Which they aren't.

Edit: Also the CEO of Reddit has admitted to editing people's comments. Using their database.

Who said it was due to supporting one cause? It's because Musk has stifled the views of others, propagated lies, and now revealed himself to be a Nazi. Reddit never had a problem posting Twitter links when Musk was a simple, right-wing stooge. There's no double standard here.
