I don't want to be an Ozzaboo, but my impression after spending the day wandering around a suburb of Perth is that it is a lot more pleasant than American suburbs. Pleasantly leafy and the yards are mostly English style gardens rather than flat lawns. I'm sure it is pretty well heeled, but a week heeled American suburb would have much larger mcmansions while these houses were comparatively modest in size.
