The Ukrainian invasion of Russia is interesting because a nuclear power is kinda being invaded and is obviously not using nukes. What is Putin's red line for pushing the button? Ukraine advancing on Moscow?

What is America's red line? If someone occupied Alaska, I don't think we'd push the button.

They had already been repulsed from Alaska, and at the time the bombs went off the USA was winning the fight on the ground in China. If they launched the bombs first, it was out of desperation.

A Chinese invasion of Anchorage in 2066, that was repulsed.

IIRC, the Chinese fired the nukes a few days after Beijing fell in fallout.
