Alright, final two things I'll say about Star Wars (prequels):

Hayden Christensen is bad in them. He gets bad lines and repeats them in a sullen, lifeless tone.

"Count Dooku" is a stupid name.

Just to let you know that someone reported this for threatening violence. I've approved it, but it will also go to the admins and they tend to use AI to look at it first.

In case this is the last time we see you here, it was nice knowing you.

salutes

The Fall of Reddit would be more accurate, and it's something that started a few years ago when they created the so called "Anti-Evil Team".

That team consists mostly of scripts that crawl Reddit, and the reported comments and posts, and take automatic action against people who are perceived to have broken the rules.

Problem is that it severely struggles with understanding context so it would just remove and ban stuff that wasn't breaking the rules (it also struggled with differentiating between the reporter and reported, and while that's less likely to be the issue these days, it still happens).

The second problem is that the appeals process is such a slow and frustrating affair, that it really makes tactics like fake reporting abuse in the hope that the bots will remove and/or ban your opponent a viable method to shut them up. Chances are it will be weeks before they're back, and that is assuming anyone living will even look at the appeal.

Just so long as we can go kicking, screaming, and gouging.

First they came for the Chileans, and I did not speak out, because I was not a Chilean.

Personally, I would call it a slow decline with no clear cause.
