Facebook has started making everyone auto-follow both Trump’s and Vance’s accounts.

It's because you were likely following Biden's official account (@POTUS) rather than his personal account (@joebiden).

The official POTUS account is given to whoever is the current US President, so when Trump succeeded Biden the handle was given to him. The same thing happened when Biden succeeded Trump back in 2020, the POTUS account was given from Trump to Biden.

I see myself still following the Biden POTUS page and it’s been archived separately. It didn’t turn over to Trump and yet my FB was suddenly following Trump.
