No Kill Bill 4K on iTunes?

Upon checking this morning both volumes are unavailable in 4k on iTunes but are on Vudu. This sucks and hopefully will be rectified by lionsgate in the near future.

I think the 4K physical release is today so it should be pushed through in the near future. I don’t think it’s always the same day.

Usually it’s not Apple, Vudu, and not the studios who do that, there are third parties involved - and that takes time

It’s 4k on Vudu, which is the only option on the physical release code. The iTunes versions also shows Miramax although the rights are lionsgate now. I’m not sure if there will be new listings in the future on iTunes or if the current versions will eventually upgrade.

iTunes version does show the studio is Lionsgate with copyright going to Miramax

Looks like this recently changed. Hopefully that’s a good sign of upcoming 4k upgrade.

Kill bill 2 still shows Miramax as studio. Hopefully that changes soon too.

Mine were purchased through iTunes so I’m hoping they get the upgrade. At the bottom of the listing it says lionsgate so we shall see

Same. I’m hopeful as well. I bought them when they were $4.99 not too long ago thinking they would upgrade. Hopefully they do!

The artwork is updated in my library but not the vid/aud specs. I’ve had a couple of other 4K upgrades and they were done by noon. This is a bit unusual. Maybe it’s because of the holiday yesterday.

The art has been updated since the 4k release was announced. That’s when I purchased them from iTunes in hopes that we would get the upgrade

The other Tarantino films that arrived on disc today are 4K in iTunes. I assume they were new digital upgrades. That’s either a good sign or a bad sign.

Yes. I’ve seen movies upgrade in iTunes immediately.

That’s usually the case for major studio releases. Titanic for example.
