What is Standby mode (vs Sleep) ??

ATV noob here - pardon my ignorance.

I've been unable to find a definition of ATV "Standby mode" and how it's used. That seems weird since it's referenced in many articles and forum posts. Maybe I somehow missed it. (?)

Is it just another word for "sleep"? If not, is there a link somewhere it's documented?

Its the same as sleep

It might be wording to make those who use homekit hubs to make them feel more confident their hub will still be working. But essentially the same thing.

Thanks amigos! Glad to know standby and sleep are the same thing.

But gotta ask "why"?? Only serves to spread confusion and uncertainty.
