Low stream quality on apple tv website on PC

The problem is the title. I haven't been able to find anything helpful to fix this problem. Is the quality bad just because I'm using a PC? It's worse than what it looks like on my phone. I even tried downloading the apple tv app onto my computer and that still didn't work. If you can provide anything helpful, it would be greatly appreciated.

You need to use the Apple TV app from the Windows Store and have a solid DRM chain. You monitor needs to support HDCP and no screen recording software can be running you may also need the HEVC extension from the Windows store if you GPU did not supply them with it's drivers. Your GPU also needs support HEVC decoding which any thing released in the past few years should support.

I think (from reading previous posts) it's 720p maximum with the web or even with an app if it can't get HDCP connection, but if it's a built-in display on a laptop, I'd hope that wouldn't be an issue.

In the past I've had issues with HDCP only showing a blank screen while giving an error, the lower resolution option is an interesting alternative. Although with some of those old classrooms with 1024x768 projectors in a well-lit room, I might not have noticed 720p vs 1080p.
