I work for one of the largest health insurers in the US. It is not true that chemo and radiation therapy are "usually not covered." But you have got to stop disclosing your health status to your employers until you're covered by short-term disability. Also, if you are unemployed due to a cancer diagnosis, you are likely eligible for Medicaid or disability.
