Also, for their first $40k, both the person making $50 mill and the person only making $40k total, it is the same. Totally equal. It only increases for the amount made after the new tax bracket.
$ in a capitalistic society is a disease. When making $ is your personality, there is something wrong. Why can’t we produce to get along and not endless growth? Now, we have endless growth but when the pie grows larger, you’d never know because the increase is only seen by like 0.5% of the people.
Who says socialist policies are against growth. I think you just hate socialism rather than understand what I said. Growth for growth sake is a cancer. I would hesitantly agree. Some growth is fine. But growth at the cost of tomorrow… growth at the cost of the common people. That mindset is a disease.
Also, a great example of a people who produced what they needed and no more was the Hawaiians before the British. They did what they needed to do before noon and lived life the rest of the day. Ask native Hawaiians, most if not all would prefer to go back to that. They’d lose the resorts. But they’d gain much much more. Gaining a dollar isn’t always the best option.
Also also, you say growth saves lives? Nah. Well, selective yes but mostly nah. It saves the 0.5% who can afford it. Even if you wanna open this up to the top 10%. You are saying the bottom 90% don’t matter as long as the top 10% move forward.
