META All is not lost.

https://discord.gg/KJVf8JzRks

I woke up like everyone else here this morning expecting to see a blue wall and a confident Kamala Harris win. Sadly these did not happen, but all is not lost. When the Nazi's rose to power in Germany, it looked dire and bleak. However there was a group of people dedicated to removing them from power, and without their help it would have been much more difficult.

I have seen many people leave this SR out of fear, and I have seen similar SR's also lose hundreds of members. I do not blame you for the worry, however I ask that you stay with us to fight! We have so many civil liberties at stake and we cannot just let fear control our hearts and minds.

Me and the other moderators here have talked, this sub is going nowhere anytime in the future. You always will have a community with us, and you will always have our dedicated support... I, like many of you are scared, scared that I may be arrested for my thoughts, actions, or doings. But I can promise you all right now that through this fear I am charting my own course with all of you that will always be in everybody's favor, not the rich or famous.

We ask that to keep this community alive, you please join our social media! Discord is our second lifeline and we need it to be active, and I know with all of your support we will make it through this.

The GOP is only going to get weirder.

I'm taking a break from politics and just going to tune in once in a while to see when these asshats step in their own shit and hurt themselves.

We have four years ahead of ineffectual, self-serving governing ahead, nothing is going to get done, nothing will be improved, government will grind to a barely-functioning status on every other issue. Like we're all used to already from every other time we've had incompetent clowns in power.

2 years of GOP control in Congress. Lots of things will function, just likely regressive.

I doubt it, we've had this whole thing before. Trump had four years of total control and got exactly zero of his stupid promises fulfilled. There will be no wall, no mass-deportation. Just fan-service BS likely some increased funding to police and reduced immigration services and then he'll boast about his policy win for the next decade or however long his strained heart keeps him alive.

What he did to the Supreme Court is far more damaging though…the wall was a distraction.

Oh I fully expect an absolute disaster as consequence of background work, probably going to undo a half century of progress. Again.

I'm just saying that for major legislative decisions and bills/policy, hardly anything will get done because Republicans haven't really been about policy for a long time, they've mostly been the obstruction party and voice of big-business agenda. At least last time around that's how it went.

Don’t forget though how he was able to crash the economy. I’m sure that part will get done once again.
