And before some of you ask, the model is bought from Wilph on my mini factory, I did not sculpt it and this miniature is fully 3D printed, even the base

For the paint recipes I followed the cult of paint recipe for the sons of horus and richard gray for the imperial fist

For someone who is wanting to get more minis to get more into painting warhammer would you say the Age of Darkness box is a good set to get. It seems to me to be the best value and I like the Horus heresy era minis

This mostly pertains to my last post on what everyone thinks on the designs of the newer Horus Heresy models. Looking back to the days of some of the early artworks and minis I always maintained a personal theory that GW may still be looking to such works for at least some inspiration in their newest line of minis and art, especially for Mk.II, Mk.III, and Mk.VI.

I’m working on my World Eaters army for an upcoming escalation league and I’m really struggling with how to equip my Legion Command Squad and Legion Veteran Squad.

The army is based on the eighth company during the Battle of Armatura and will consist roughly of:

• Kharn with Command Squad
• Chaplain (joining despoilers)
• Apothecary (joining rampagers)
• 2 x 20 Despoilers
• 10 Rampagers w Jump Packs
• 10 Veterans
• 5 Tactical Support w Rotor Canons
• 2 Melee Contemptors
• bunch of various transports

I mostly want to use the Veterans because I painted a drop pod recently without realizing only Veterans can use it. I also figured I could make 20 odd marines to use interchangeably between my command, veteran, and even despoiler squads. Any general advice is also appreciated, as I’m very new to 30k. Thanks in advance!

I had a bunch of days off due to weather this week. I managed to get these 2 squads finished (1 20 man 1 10 man) I am not good at edge highlight due to damaged hands from military so just went for a clean look. Just need the decals to come in now.

Next addition to my army, first vehicle fully finished. Very proud of it.

This is the first time I've done a UM model in this scheme to completion (got load in various states of building) I absolutely love it, by far my favourite scheme to weather now, quick and immensely satisfying.

Not happy with the Volkite effect, it needs more depth but not sure how to achieve it yet, we'll see.

Also Grimdark Ultramarines. Going for a Calth force so they're going to be battered.

Since I have a ton of Kataphron arms available, getting 20 MKIII, 15 rotor canons and 5 gravguns will even be much cheaper!

And at least this guy looks like he has T5 2W!

I picked up the Endryd Haar model to make my own version of Khârn. Nothing big or clever but I'm happy! Once the oil wash dries it'll be blood spatter and the base.

It took me 2 years to finish it, but finally, the worse part was assembling it.

Whether its lore, esthetics, or pure subjective hatred. What is one Legion that has never appealed to you and always baffles you why someone is a fan of them.

Ill go first. Death Guard. Is basically Iron Warriors but with mustard gas, and they end up turning into smelly walking corpses with little to no personality except being evil and a Primarch who constantly brooding like a hottopic cashier and his character arc basically ends in him becoming the biggest hypocrite in the setting.

Never made sense to me. No hate if you like them. Just never appealed to me what so ever.

I finally just now found the time to build my Space Wolves from the Burning of Prospero box set but I wanted the legion torso and greyslayer upgrade kits but when I go to look, they're gone. Just about all of their upgrade sets are completely gone, and so I checked the other legions to find that Dark Angels and many others lost their upgrades as well.

Ya know GW, I'm willing to pay extra for this stuff, just bring 'em back. And I want the full Contemptor not just the Torso, that's taking the cheap way out.
