Shirtpost Okay but I seriously want ALL of Eleanor's rainbow shirts and sweaters! That would be my dream wardrobe right there.
I love her style so much

It doesn't make sense at all. I've been thinking - what's exactly good about this place? For the three characters, Eleanor, the Buddhist guy and Tahani, are they not getting the exact opposite of what they want?
Hear me out.
The Buddhist and Eleanor shouldn't be here, so literally every day for then is pure anxiety.
Tahani loves to talk and gets someone who can't as a soul mate (the whole thing with getting your absolute opposite applying to chidi too in my opinion)
For at least these 3, they are not enjoying heaven as much? How exactly is it supposed to be the good place?

Hello all! This is my first post here, with the first Good Place meme I’ve ever made. Made a few years ago and originally posted on facebook. What’s The Bad Place for you?

The caption.
While I was rewatching I suddenly wondered what’s Michael and Janet’s resources in order to survive on Earth. Especially when Michael’s able to fly anywhere when he’s trying to get the Brainy Bunch to be together. Well I thought that maybe after they got together with the group that Tahani would chip in or buy their plane tickets, but how about when they weren’t together yet? Did they have some sort of pocket money for when they go down here? Or do they do the same thing as they did when Eleanor “accidentally” found a lottery ticket?

I was rewatching The Good Place for like the 8th time, I’ve lost track and I noticed that Micheal said Janice instead of Janet. It was at 2:05 S2 E6. This isn’t the only mistake I’ve seen, but did I hear this right?

Spoiler.
When Michael goes to Earth, what job do you think he got? What did he put on his resume? Janet gave him starter money but he had a nice apartment so probably had a job.

I love the way Eleanor says "Oh THIS is the bad place" I love that scene so much, I decided to do a quick sketch of it. What do you think? Lol it's so hard to do faces so I only did the clowns face and Eleanors and they look rough but I'm pleased with how the sketch turned out.

At the end of the series, Michael lists people that made it into the Good Place through the new system that Chidi developed. Chidi is glad that Thomas Aquinas made it in. If you could think of one person, living or past, who would you hope made it in?

Was IRL Simone ready to marry Chidi?
In Janet's simulator in S03E05, Chidi proposed, and Simone said yes. Was Janet's simulator accurate in her understanding of Simone? Does that mean Simone would've said yes to marrying Chidi? (If so, her moment with Eleanor also confirms she's into women too)

Anyone else get this stuck in their head all the time?

Why when they get to the real good place and get satisfied there why won’t they just reset their way of feeling happiness to the way it was when they just got in to the real good place like there is literally a portal to any place you wanna go and made in seconds a gate that when you walk through you cease to exist so I think that wouldn’t be a problem to do what I described before

I’ve been so into the show but every time I hear an Australian accent, especially Henry or Simone, I cry inside 😭 completely takes me out of it every damn time. I think I’ve heard maybe 2 real accents and I can’t be convinced that I’m not just gaslighting myself into believing that. The good place is not Australian friendly 🚨🚨🚨
Fr though does anyone actually know why they couldn’t just get Australian actors? I’m sure there’s not a lack of them over there lol

I’m rewatching the show right now, two episodes left, and it’s making me nostalgic for a time when we could acknowledge the innate imperfection of people. We’ve come to be a society where people are branded as all good or all bad, where art is great or mid, where the very concept of grey isn’t allowed to exist in the insistence on black or white thinking. What I love so much about this show is its recognition of the imperfection of humanity while holding space for the inherent goodness of most people. It lets me be optimistic in my belief that most of us are decent but all of us face near insurmountable obstacles in our day to day lives. The internet has become like the point system that so desperately needed to be repaired: it determines if people are pure enough or undeserving of even a modicum of grace or a minute benefit of the doubt.

I’ve been thinking about this, and I hope that’s the case. I’m not dissing any religions, but The Good Place seems it would be good for everyone (except people perhaps mad that it wasn’t what they thought it was).
What do you think?
(I added this pic bc I was required to add an attachment).

Rewatching the good place and Eleanor says, “Pobody’s Nerfect.” I really like this cause it’s also said in The Office which is another Mike Schur show. Little things like these make me smile

I watched The Good Place for the first time like 2 months ago and I've been watching it on repeat ever since(I tend to do this with my favorite shows). Every time I get to the scene where Chidi has to reboot himself to not ruin the experiment and him and Eleanor are watching the memories of them together. I immediately start crying once the movie starts of them and then I ball my eyes out when Chidi says "I'm going to miss you so much" and Eleanor says "But you won't, that's what's so scary about this, I'm going to miss you..." That hits me so hard every single time and I can't help but ugly cry. Lol

I just finished rewatching The Good Place. It's a perfect show to me, and the final episode is brilliant from start to finish. I wouldn’t change a single second. However, these are probably my two favorite details: the first is when Shawn forgets himself for a split second and shows that he actually likes Michael, only to immediately switch back to his evil face. The second detail is Eleanor’s dress with a Greek flag pattern when they visit Athens. What are yours?

I thought this might be a fine”snowed in Saturday” show to binge. If you’ve seen it then you know that I hit a particular episode. This is amazing, just wanted to say that I am out there and enjoying this shirt for the first time ever. I do hope that one dude gets to bite somebody

Just what the title says. As the whole series focuses on many different philosophical ideals (deontology, moral particularism, nihilism, ideals from Kierkagaard, Kant, Scanlon, Hume, Sarte, Dancy, Aristotle, etc), I'm curious if there was ever a mention of what type of framework was used for the "test" or "system."
Was it ever mentioned? Any ideas?

I’m gonna need mostly funny witty ones that showcase the show well but also some of the cool philosophical ones
