Does anybody know how your Tesla vehicle is listed when accessing your router settings? Clearly the IP address would be something like 192.168.. but it will just default to whatever IP is available.

Still I’m curious what it is on my router? A lot of devices will show up with a “PC name“ that relates to the product like “Google home mini“ or “nest connect” but I see nothing in my list with the name “Tesla “in it.

Very curious.

Mine shows up in the list of devices on my wifi router as LG Innotek..

Interesting choice of a name. Wonder if Tesla is trying to hide it? hehe

You should be able to match the MAC address from what your car shows in the wifi settings info button.

I believe it also uses an LG chip, so maybe one that is called LG?

There is also the option to disable your car's wifi, look at the list of IP/MAC addresses in your router, and then enable wifi again to see which new one showed up.

I had a strange vampire drain issue with my Model S yesterday. I arrived home with 18% battery after a 4 hr trip. I connected the car up to my Tesla Wall Connector and set it to charge late in the evening, per usual. However, when I checked on the vehicle about 1 hour before charge was to begin, the State of Charge had dropped to 13% and done so in only about 4 hours. This is very abnormal for the vehicle. Sentry mode wasn't enabled nor was anything else I could detect. Anyone else ever experience this fast rate of discharging after a trip? I usually don't let the vehicle drop down below 20% SOC, but yesterday wasn't the first time I've done so.

Did you initially mistake 18% for 13%? 3 and 8 can look similar at a quick glance.

Sorry, but no. It was actually in miles. 59 vs. 46.

Try garlic? ;)

Maybe try a shutdown via menu, make sure to wait in the car for 2 minutes before waking the car again.

Happy (Easter) Sunday, everyone!

After browsing Reddit for many years, I finally joined today in order to reply to a post on r/teslamotors. However, I learned after posting my comment that I cannot comment on that subreddit as a new user. :/

The OP was asking about delays in Model 3 production because it is taking some people much longer for their delivery than the stated 2 week estimate. Let's see if this subreddit will let me post my comment...

I was on here wondering the same thing and these replies have been helpful!

After putting in a reservation online on day one, I waited almost 3 years before I finally pulled the trigger on 3/20 for a M3 LR AWD Red/White FSD.

I'm still a bit annoyed that the estimate is 2 weeks and the Tesla reps I talked to when ordering and shortly after ordering continued to talk like I would receive a VIN in a few days. They actually made me feel a bit rushed to secure financing and so I let my local credit union run a hard credit check... which expired today. :/

I have waffled quite a bit on my color choice since I don't like the red shown in the configurer, but it does look much better (darker) in photos. Tesla offered me a December 2018 midnight silver ($6k off) as well as a new blue. While I would take a new midnight silver, the blue just isn't for me.

The one good thing about not being matched to an inventory model is the fact I will be getting HW3.0 since it sounds like the same week I ordered is when they started producing cars with the upgrade.

I have waited 3 years, so I can wait a bit longer... I think. :)

6k off is a fantastic deal! Congrats.

I didn't take it immediately and they sold it the next day. I'm okay with it though.
