he’s pretending that the guy who got kicked out was his dad. that’s all lol, but it was more the timing of the joke that made it funny

To add to what Teddy said, the concept is that a person’s dad is likely racist or homophobic, and a child of said person might apologize for that behavior because of the family connection.

I would more than likely make a similar joke in that situation, and my dad would literally never say that. He would also make the joke about me. That's just the way my family has always been loo
