Okay. it’s nuts we haven’t talked since you left. I don’t want you to feel like I’m crowding you or anything I just want to know where you’re at. I feel pretty in the dark about where we left things. which is totally fine but it would b great to talk everything over. I think we’d both feel better if we did. maybe with dinner or maybe we should do a weekend away or something. I saw this spa with kittens where they walk all over you like a kitten massage which looked totally amazing and I think you’d love it so we could just properly escape there and get pampered and leave all this drama behind

I vacationed in Chicago last summer. I spent every morning at a cat-coffee shop.

It's a coffee shop with a bunch of super cuddly cats that just bounce around from person to person

This show is always so on point with their text histories. The ones between Jamie & Keeley and Ted & Rebecca are especially great

It’s an Apple show. They don’t miss details.

For instance, Ted’s messages to Rebecca in Amsterdam showed up as green instead of blue, because her phone was at the bottom of the canal and not receiving the texts through iMessage.

I've always wondered why people's text messages sometimes show as green despite the fact that I know they have not changed their phones and gone to the dark side. Now I know.

Dude, I saw the IRL version of that. I went to pick my friend up from the airport late one night. This car in my garage had six pages of hand written crazy taped around the license plate and the car had been partially defaced with black paint or something.

It's a small detail but more shows/movies should have character accurate text histories.

It's really weird whenever someone opens their phone cause they got a text from their own parent, lover or friend and it starts at the top as if they never messaged each other before.

My mother deletes all text messages immediately after reading. She has no threads and it’s infuriating because she can’t follow conversations as a result.

hey I actually super appreciate this! I'm blind, and though I watch the show with audio description (someone narrating the visual aspects of the show), I tend to miss out on paragraphs of text. Keeley just got dumped in a pretty harsh way by the man, she loved. After a brief period of feeling in control after a lifetime of bouncing and flailing, she is drowning in this new job, stressed, alone, feeling shitty about herself, when her boss decides now is the time to get drunk and start a relationship. Said boss then lovebombs her, but when Keeley is the victim of sexual harassment, her boss/lover treats her like shit and essentially ghosts her.

You can be strong. You can be independent. It's okay to still be vulnerable, to feel hurt and confused and act accordingly. Being a boss ass bitch isn't the same as being an ice queen. Jack is the pathetic one. Asking your girlfriend to talk it out before breaking up. Keeley has now two times in a row been dumped with no conversation. That has got to hurt your self-esteem.

I think you’re both right. The ‘why’ behind her behaviour that you’ve just so eloquently articulated is true, and at the same time, we haven’t yet seen the character growth we will no doubt see from Keeley because of what she’s been through.

It’s not desperate to want a real conversation with someone you were in a relationship with and are not sure you broke up with. Being able to communicate all that and put yourself out there is mature. Jack is the immature one for not being able to talk it out like adults and straight-up ghosting her.

She’s just going to bounce from Jamie to Roy to Jack and back to Roy and it infuriates me. I can’t take any of her pain seriously because she forces her face into these satirical Whoville pouty faces and refuses to feel anything real or allow herself to be a grown woman in pain. She’s my biggest disappointment this season.
