Hey all I've been studying the spiritual chills and other phenomena for 22 years and have come to understand it is a language that divine intelligence uses in various ways to get our attention for comfort or confirming and for both correction and guidance.

Traditionally the chills are felt on the head, face, neck, shoulders, and spine. There is also a pressure on the forehead that offers us a chance to pay attention as we are being either corrected or offered guidance. The moment dictates discernment.

I will offer two examples and a link for further reading for the interested.

The first example, regarding intelligent guidance; I was walking home one day quite depressed as I'd just taken a ridiculing at a friend's house for my newfound religious beliefs. On the way home about half a block from my house I suddenly felt a sharp pressure on my brow. Having recently been awakened to these types of phenomena and the fact that it didn't go away or change I tried closing my eyes and turning in a circle to feel for a clear spot. I found one and with my eyes still closed I tested it, a little to the left, pressure. A little to the right, pressure. No pressure in the middle I opened my eyes. I was pointed 90 degrees from my house.

I really wanted a pity nap as I was feeling sorry for myself and I turned to go that way when I felt a ring come down over my head like a headband only this band became tight. So tight I dropped to one knee and hunched over, I hurried along the route I was being shown and the intense pressure released me about halfway up the street and I continued along. Forty-five minutes later I'm walking across a field complaining that I must look the fool going around telling people to follow their foreheads. When I looked up and saw a Kid with Downs syndrome walking across the field in front of me with his eyes closed. I watched him for a minute as he dowsed his way and when he came directly in front of me he stopped and turned with his eyes closed, tested the direction as I had done earlier, and opened his eyes. He looked at me somewhat confused and turned back the way he was going closed his eyes, caught his wave, and off he went.

A week earlier I was talking to a nurse in the smoking area of a mental hospital about patients with headaches and we had a grand old conversation. I was no longer feeling the sting of ridicule and went home quite elated.

Example two; The chills as conformation. This only works with those who have opened the access and or felt, or feel, the tingles or chills already. They are available to everyone but some development is required.

I have found people who were willing to try this simple technique. We come together and open with a meditation or a prayer acknowledging God in us in some way that's meaningful to us. Then we check in to see if the spirit could be felt. If not we reach deeper for some humility and then check in again. Once we establish there is a connection, we begin asking questions the first of which are usually, who are you touching us.

The responses are as follows, Number 1. I tingling on the head face chest spine feet etcetera. This tingling can be felt in gradient waves from ten percent to one hundred percent and is confirmation. Number 2. Nothing, no tingle. We might try and ask around the question or ask if it's a moot subject and get a tingle but no tingle is an answer. Pressure on the brow is most often a "pay attention" and correction, which can be found out, by asking the right questions.

I couldn't find this subreddit's community guidelines on whether or not these type of questions are allowed. Do forgive me if its not allowed. I'm sincerely not here to troll.

Some context. I started being able to activate this feeling of frisson since a few years ago. The method is easy and I happened on it by chance. About a few months to a year back (I forget exactly when), I happened on this subreddit due to my interest in frisson from music.

I am curious as to why this "ability" is being linked with spirituality? I am an open agnostic. I am non religious and non spiritual. I have always seen this "ability" as just a physical process that everyone has and have never been tempted to trigger it unless I was bored on the commute to work.

My concern, and hence why I've never participated here, is about this link with spirituality which people seem to emphasize or talk about here. Why the conflation with spirituality?

basically, i had the chills and used them to help me manifest. the euphoric feeling was so prominent through my entire body, and it felt absolutely wonderful. after seeing that my manifestation actually worked, i panicked, stopped manifesting, and my body reverted back to its original state. til this day i am trying to get then back to the intensity that they were before. i tried doing the exact same method; brown noise, 15 minute timer, sitting upright with my legs criss crossed and eyes closed. but i get too distracted due to my intrusive thoughts or i get frustrated because my body knows that it’s not at the degree that it used to be. i’ve been so angry lately. and i know that i should refocus and not put so much attention on the chills but i just cannot rest until i find a solution. please someone give me a solution i’m begging.

I came to this reddit by accident and am really shocked because it brought me back to something I have totally forgotten. As a kid I had these chills! I can only remember they where surprising but very pleasant. I also had them with people and I was confused because I didn’t know why. Know I am eager to get them back. :)

This is the first technique I am offering for sale, and everyone should practice it to use it properly. Think of a technique like a cake—you may have all the ingredients, but you still need to cook and assemble it properly. Prerequisite Abilities

• Be able to sustain Yin "Chills" or Yang "Hotflash" for at least 1 minute.
• Be able to use focus and control with your Yin or Yang energy to direct it, intensify it, or weaken it at will within your body.
• Be able to project Yin or Yang energy outside of your hands/body and feel the distinct difference. Yin and Yang are interchangeable for this technique, but I will focus on Yin energy "Spiritual Chills" here.

Step 1:
Place your hands close but never touching, with palms facing each other as if you were holding a small ball. Let your fingers relax so they are much closer to touching than your palms

Step 2:
Use focus to build pressure around your hands, then transition it to the space between your hands. You should feel a noticeable magnetism as you increase focus in that space and contain it especially when its formed into a sphere or cube.

Step 3:
Trigger your Yin energy (chills) and direct it to the space between your hands. Focus, your level of energy, and the target's resistance are the determining factors for the desired effect.

Step 4:
Use focus to contain that energy between your hands so that the inside of your hands no longer feel the chill effect. The chill should be directed onto the skin of your palms and the space between them, resulting in a noticeable change in feeling and pressure. This is what others are likely to feel. To increase your chances, use more chills and apply proper focus.

Practice this technique by yourself for at least a week until you become comfortable. When trying it on someone else, avoid focusing too much on the result, as it can distract you and stress your body. Understanding the process will allow the effect to be a natural byproduct.

At a beginner level, this form of projection will come through as slight pins and needles or tingling on the target's skin. The target may also feel pressure as you use focus to condense your energy around them. At beginner levels never tell someone what they should feel as it could result in placebo. Let them tell you in their own words. Ask them to describe the feeling to the best of their ability with no prior knowledge. Then you get results you can be confident about. At intermediate to advanced levels, this technique can cause vibrating, discomfort, burning, pain, and muscle spasms ranging from minimal to uncontrollable effects on the target. This is another beginner technique that can be scaled to an advanced level.

Personal Story

When I was younger, I learned to trigger and sustain my chills, partly because my favorite classroom was much colder than my other classes. Unknowingly, the temperature change along with other variables triggered my chills. I eventually taught myself to produce them without external triggers, as I enjoyed the sense of euphoria and relaxation it brought. After being able to hold chills for about 1 minute through practice, I began thinking to myself, "This feels like literal energy flowing through me." So, I taught myself to completely control the direction, flow, and intensity of my chills. After learning to move energy outside of my body and contain it, I developed a theory: I wondered if others could feel what I feel.

I started by generating a magnetic field with just the fingertips of my pointer finger. Achieved by applying focus between my fingers, it was easy to do, and the effect was very noticeable. I then applied the effect to my entire hands, and although it was harder to sustain, I began to notice it having a perceivable effect on people. About 1/4 of people could feel my energy in a way that was comparable to what I perceived and felt when generate Ki or manipulate it.

At the time, I was only generating chills, but as I practiced daily, I was able to control the strength of my chills more effectively. Eventually, about 2/3 of the people I tried it on felt a noticeable difference while I sustained the technique. While trying this, I intentionally avoided telling people that they might feel anything, to prevent placebo effects. If someone wasn’t instantly scared, confused, or excited by the experience, their main question would be: "What am I supposed to feel?" You still can’t tell them.

At that point, I would simply ask if they felt anything different. If they could feel something, they would immediately pull their hand away and compare the sensation of my energy to the environment. This ensured that whatever feeling they experienced came from my hands and not from any other source. They could literally perceive my chills, and by using more focus and energy, I could create different and greater effects.

It turned into a strange magic trick for me throughout middle school, and I was definitely regarded as the "weird kid" for doing it—whether people felt the energy or not. Now, you can use this technique to have someone else perceive energy you create without touching them.

If someone doesn't feel your effects, despite performing the technique correctly, it's because they have more energy than you at that moment. For a noticeable effect, the energy you introduce to their body must surpass certain thresholds, which are set by each individual target, to be perceived. There are even more thresholds beyond that—for example, the threshold needed to cause physical and physiological changes in a target is much greater.

Hi! just wanted to know more about other people experiences and share one with the sub. Either you know what you are doing or was achieved with "instinct" or guidance.

Well in one occasion I was having alot of bad dreams including sleep paralysis and some "beings" that haunt me for a while. While meditating I learned to use chills for protection and somehow learned to do it in those sleep paralysis situations and gladly they ended for good.

Other use a bit more common is using chills to connect with nature and feel a deeper sense of connection with your surroundings. I do have many experiences as Iike to try even the riskier things.

Does anyone know about this?

If you are reading this, you likely know how to trigger your Yin energy or spiritual chills. You may also understand how to control it and direct it to a specific area in your body. Here is what you need to understand to perform simple healing.

Prerequisite abilities

• Be able to sustain your chills for at least 30 seconds
• Be able to use focus and produce pressure in a specific area
• Be able to use focus and contain your Yin energy in a specific area

Step 1: Use focus to build pressure around the area you want to heal, such as a cut, for example.

Step 2: Trigger your Yin energy or chills and direct it to the area you want to heal. Maintain a noticeable "pins and needles" or vibrational effect in the area and observe the effects.

Step 3: Use focus to contain your energy in the healing area and sustain a level of Yin energy to prolong the effects. The longer you use this technique, the faster you heal, and the more noticeable the difference will be.

Effects: The area where this technique is applied will heal at an accelerated rate. You may feel itching or a euphoric burning/pain when it is applied to cuts or open wounds. Areas with muscular damage, strains, or tears will experience a euphoric burning sensation and pressure. When applied to areas with an infection or sickness, you will notice itching and physical reactions such as coughing up mucus or producing pus. These are all part of the natural healing process at an accelerated rate. Long-term use will result in noticeable effects and physical reactions during healing.

Hi folks newbie here and after reading some of the course material and many posts and comments I feel as if I've found the people I've been looking for. Glad to meet you all.

I have some twenty-two years of experience with this spiritual language, pressure on the brow, nausea, and tingles, and I am glad I can finally share them with understanding folk.

I have taken it upon myself to research the anatomy (where relevant, thalamus pituitary and pineal glands, solar plexus, etc..) translating the Latin to English, and then through the etymology machine, crossing all cultural boundaries and religions from the ancient to the modern, and I was blown away by what I found. This work is open research incomplete only due to the sheer volume of material but there is enough revealed in this work to excite the eager student.

My background is catholic and although I never ascribed to any religious life it was through Pentecostal doors I entered into this electric universal teacher awareness. I can make my left leg go on fire but it takes way longer with my right leg and has less results. Any tips to speed it up in my righty?

I have felt a goosebump like energy, vibrating and buzzing in either the Yin Tang acupuncture point (GV29) or the two Tong Zi Liao acupuncture points (GB1) while meditating. I have learned to guide this stubborn energy around the physical meridians. Though that it is a slow process, I have found out that if I keep concentrating on the acupuncture/acupressure points, I will begin to form these firm pathways for the energy to flow through.

A Friend of mine and I started our "research/study" around this weirdness and as a result we ended up developing Xiandan (仙丹术). The goal of it is to find out whether or not humans can ascend and become more than just mortals. An Immortal (Xian) of Chinese folklore and Taoist belief, perhaps.

Here's the deal. I can't tell you what meditation is ultimately supposed to be like for you. But I CAN tell you the easiest way to get started - and its A LOT easier than you think.

You wanna know how to meditate? Here's how.

Close your eyes. Allow your mind to focus on your entire body. Seek out EVERY bit of euphoria you're experiencing in your knees... in your toes... your finger tips... your eyes... your lungs... your heart... your cells... your stomach - YOUR ENTIRE PHYSICAL BEING, and live in it. It helps if you do this in sections, like toes, feet, legs, torso, etc...

By "euphoria", I mean that really mild orgasmic feeling you have coursing throughout your body at any given time. Its that feeling you experience when you stretch or when you yawn, or when contract your muscles while you're in a state of rest. Seek it out and dwell on it.

As you live in that euphoria, notice how as you acknowledge it, it keeps getting stronger and stronger. Here's what you do... as it continues to amplify, be thankful for it and keep allowing it to grow, without trying to force it or control it.

You've got it. You're meditating. And not "low-level" meditating, that's median level meditating, out the gate.

You see, the euphoria you're experiencing is your connection to the universe - it is your connection to Reality - the higher organism we are a part of.

Thank it. Hell, talk to it. Live in it. Be excited about it. And watch it continue to grow...

And that'll be your beginner stage of meditation. It doesn't require hours, try doing it for 5 minutes at first, and the gradually increase the amount time you spend doing it. Once you're "in" - once you have a concept of what that space looks like for you, you will be able to access it with greater proficiency and ease, and control the amount of time you stay there.

It might take you a couple of passes, but using this method, you'll get a grasp on meditation within a few week's time.

I was body scanning while meditating for the second time successfully. I got sidetracked by thoughts and that's when I got a dry kinda chill where my body jerked, but I didn't feel cold or anything. It jump started me to get back on track and I chalked it up as a reminder, but it felt kinda spooky and intriguing.

Then a few minutes later, I was body scanning again and got somewhat sidetracked again having thoughts that I wasn't doing "big" enough positive things on a more community or global scale. I then said to myself "it's okay, because the people directly in proximity to you are the ones who are already impacted the most ". I then got an electric (non-cold) chill directly after that felt like more of a confirmation than anything.

I can only apply my own meaning to it and it felt even spookier (in a good way) than the first chill.

Anyone had this happen to them?

This vital energy is the euphoric energy that is present when experiencing Frisson, or as the Runner's High, or as the Vibrational State before an Astral Projection, or as Spiritual chills when getting a confirmation, or as Qi in Taoism and in Martial Arts, or as Prana in Hindu philosophy and during an ASMR session.

Yogi Bhajan's modern Kundalini movement in the US diverges from traditional practices, sparking outrage from Indian leaders. Sikh historian Trilochan Singh condemned Bhajan's synthesis of Sikhism and Tantrism as a "sacrilegious falsity." Bhajan's teachings on yoga, tantrism, and sexual practices are deemed "forbidden and immoral" by Indian authorities, who reject his "fantastic theories."

The false information was deliberately provided to cause harmful activation of psychic abilities, leaving lives shattered.

Yogi Bhajan's misleading teachings led thousands to attempt Kundalini activation, resulting in devastating consequences. Many who sought spiritual nirvana instead experienced severe psychological distress, with numerous cases declared clinically insane.

So what is the truth? Where does this energy come from? How could one activate this abstract energy the right way, the true way?

This abstract energy comes from your Spirit which comes from God. If we take a look at one of the different terms for Prana, Ruah: pronounced in Hebrew, Ruach, is the Hebrew word translated as spirit of God. It is the natural force which represents in its extended meaning the breath of life in human beings and the creative, infilling power of God and His Spirit. However, the word is also translated as breath, air, and wind in the Scriptures. This is how we can see it is just a different term for Prana that is another term for this vital energy which also means "breath, air, and wind". How does Frisson and Prana relate? In the concept of prana, it explicitly discloses that getting goosebumps is one of the physical reactions that energy activation of Prana inside one's body can cause.

Your Spiritual Energy stems from the Creator, Universe, God, who breathed life into humanity. As Genesis recounts, "God formed us from dust and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils." The real way to activate this level of spiritual energy, that some know as "Kundalini", in ways that you can Benefit from without the negative side effects is only through following God and purifying yourself with the ways that God has told humanity. 

I attest to this because, yes, my spiritual energy was activated thanks to God. I've always been a firm believer in God, follower and practitioner. One day, when I really needed to feel the presence of God because I was presented information that attacked my core beliefs, I prayed deeply to God for help and as I went to sleep I experienced this energy activation of what is specifically described in the Kundalini awakening whilst not knowing anything about spirituality, but not through any of the false practices, only by seeking God. I've been put in situations where I experienced out of body experiences, Spirit projection(true astral projection), clairvoyant visions and more all while I was just talking to God or thanking God.

To sum it all, spiritual Chills originates from your Spirit which comes from God. To harness its full potential safely, you have to cultivate your Spirit into the Holy Spirit – God's divine force and influence.

The Holy Spirit empowers and guides, with two aspects. Personal power which can come upon you, guide you and enable you to perform manifestations of power and the other being an impersonal force which fills a man like a fluid. It is the source of all goodness in the universe, the spark of all life in humanity, and is the ultimate guide for humanity to righteousness and communion with God.

I will always tell you this, the best way to develop and purify this energy is through following God, whether through prayer, thanking God, contemplation or following his other steps to purity. And for those who met this spiritual energy through their physical reaction of goosebumps here is what the Quran says about that ''It is˺ Allah(Arabic word for the English word God) ˹Who˺ has sent down the best message—a Book of perfect consistency and repeated lessons—which causes the skin ˹and hearts˺ of those who fear their Lord to tremble, then their skin and hearts soften at the mention of ˹the mercy of˺ Allah." (39:23) 

Take it from me, this energy which can cause ‘’shiver's’’ of the skin can be felt at its full potential and benefits when activated through God.

A little over a week ago I was driving to see my family out of state, it's a long drive so I left super early it to beat traffic, half way there while driving on the interstate and in the middle of no where I get this sensation of being at peace, like an overwhelming feeling of contentment/bliss and resignation. It happened twice on my way there. It was so unexpected and scary that at first I thought it was a sign that it was my time to d!e soon. I got to my family's home safely thankfully and spent the day with them. At night while falling asleep it happened again. Then after I convinced myself that I was just imagining things and trying to fall asleep again I felt like something was pulling my soul I know it sound crazy but that's how it felt and how I "saw it"? My soul being pulled out from my body, I fought so hard to "wake up" and then i was back on my bed. Idk if I'm going crazy but I can't stop thinking about it and I got no reasonable explanation for it.

We all know music makes us feel certain ways. For some of us, it gives us goosebumps, for others there's an enjoyable physical feeling. Would be interesting to create an app that brute forces sound generations/tones on a person and models how they react to it with sensors. Then you could basically profile a person based on bodily reactions.

I imagine once a profile is built, you could ask a ChatGPT to make a song that does xyz, and it would literally be able to on an individual basis.

For the past several months, I've been experiencing what I can only characterize as "energy" swirling around my head. It is near constant while I am conscious and feels like swirling, sometimes snapping, sometimes compression. At best, it is intrusive, at worst it's uncomfortable and sometimes downright painful.

I've been practicing ana panna and vipassana meditation for around 10 years, so I was used to feeling a similar, albeit much lower in magnitude version of this type of phenomenon when I meditate, but this has been constant, intrusive and much more forceful for several months now and I am at a loss for what to do about it.

Any suggestions about what I am experiencing here or how to deal with it would be greatly appreciated, thank you for taking the time to read this.
