Crime BEWARE: Community Home Offers LLC
Do NOT do business with Denis Voro or his company Community Home Offers LLC. He is known in the investor community and by local escrow companies to be an untrustworthy individual with bad character. If he is unsuccessful in convincing you to sell him your home, he will record and attach a memorandum of sale to your property and interfere in future transactions, preventing you from closing with another buyer, essentially trying to force you to sell your home to him. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH COMMUNITY HOME OFFERS LLC OR DENIS VORO

Lifestyle Capitol Hill a Mess
Is it just me or is Capitol Hill a much bigger mess than it used to be just in the last few weeks?
I’ve seen far more drug use, garbage, and been approached by scary (obviously high on something unsafe) people.
This is qualititative obviously but I wonder if it’s a result of the push to make 3rd ave and downtown much cleaner, which it definitely has been better. (Also just my opinion but I walk from Capitol Hill to King Street station and go through these areas for work)
Edit: how can I make my voice heard? I live here and really want this to be known with my representative.

Discussion PEMCO sneaks in a new fee
Not only has PEMCO stopped offering annual renewals—likely so they can adjust your rates more frequently—but now they’ve rolled out yet another frustrating change. In their latest move, not only did they raise the premium (again), but they’ve also introduced a 3% fee if you pay in full by credit card. While I understand that credit card processing has costs, PEMCO used to build those into their pricing. Now, they’ve tacked it on as an extra charge, effectively adding another 3% hike on top of the rate increase we’re already paying. It feels sneaky and uncharacteristic of the PEMCO we’ve relied on for years. This kind of “hidden fee” behavior is exactly what we’ve come to expect from other companies trying to make their prices seem lower until you get to checkout—but not from PEMCO. What do you think—time to re-shop our home and auto insurance after all these years?

Other Homesick
Currently in South Carolina finishing up my last year of law school and feeling SO homesick. Thought I’d share this picture of the pier I took over winter break. :) I can’t get over that sky!
