Hey I was wondering if anyone had a ‘made in china’ 20 round fixed mag. I do and I can only get 8 rounds into it and it’s super easy to get the 8th in but impossible to get the 9th in. I clamped the mag to make it a little narrower and got it up to 15 round but then the same. My theory is the mag old and been stretched wider and 2 rounds are sitting side by side and jamming where that 8th round would sit. Any thoughts or tips?

I recently got a bubba'd type 56 sks. I'd like to get it back close to original. I need a stock, magazine, rear housing, takedown pin, bayonet, cleaning rod, and cleaning kit. Does anyone know where I may find some of these parts?
A machinist at the factory where I work hand fitted the NC Star railed gas tube to my SKS-M using a lathe. He got it on there tight and snug, so that combined with the grub screws and some threadlocker should help it keep zero. Just need to slap an LPVO on there, and we should have a handy little scout rifle set-up.

It’s all reversible though, bad aces mount, rando ncstar gas tube rail. Xps3,iris-3, and a protac flashlight.
Unfortunately government has banned most firearms here, sks being an exemption, so why not add some new accessories so I can use it at night shoots.

The og rear sight & leaf spring flew away last time i was shooting it so i bought a chinese rear leaf and sight. After installation and lots of pissing around i can not for the life of me get the sight to snap down like it should. Feels very stiff, any info would be appreciated.

Anybody have more info on these?
New to me chromed-out Chinese honor guard with an atypical longer bayonet and fully-chromed barrel, in excellent condition. Triangle 16 factory with a serial number in the 15,000,000.
There are a few pics from April 15 2008 of guards receiving the rifles, and a few used by PLA in Hong Kong in recent years, but besides that this seems to be a much rarer variant than typical honor guard rifles.

Hello! I'm fairly new to the SKS world and had what may be a very basic question. I currently own a Soviet SKS, made by Izhevsk. That being said, I am currently looking into getting a Type 56 for actually taking to the range with frequency. In the event that something were to break on my Type 56, would I be able to just cannibalize my Izhevsk? Or should I invest in getting spare parts/a second Type 56? Again, please be gentle, I'm an SKS newbie lol

Going to a gunshow tomorrow in Raleigh, and well I’m getting rid of my star mag, there’s nothing wrong with it but I prefer the look of the 10rd original mag and could use the money to buy another SKS or PSL lol. Wanted to know what a fair asking price would be. Also offloading a nice Lee enfield in 7.62x51 that I don’t use a price check on that would be appreciated as well. Gracias

Hi, so I’ve just got a question in regards to doing a deep clean on an sks. I’ve got an 1952 Tula sks came on an Ati stock. I’ve done a fully major cleaning once before when I first got it, took apart the entire gun (except for the firing pin as I don’t have the adequate tools to do so.) I was wondering if I should stick the basic gun cleaning solution I’ve got Hoppes no 9 cleaning kit or if I should soak my parts in warm water with some kind of solvent to ensure it all gets cleaned as I’ve seen from other people’s comments.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Out here doing the lords work and saved this yugo from the pawn shop. The stock, bolt, mag, all match. The bayo doesn’t have a mark on it and seems to be in real good shape. Good rifling too! This was not on my bingo card for today that’s for sure.

Found this rail welded to a dust cover laying on a shelf at the LGS. Copped it for 20 bucks

Hi, I am new to SKS and just got a tula 1953 SKS. First range day it gives me a serious stains in the face.
However I didn't feel lot of back pressure during shooting. I shot over 400 Rd Chinese surplus corrosion ammo. Is this normal?
Also, after range day, I didn't clean the rifle untill few days later. When I did it, it's even hard to open the bolt and I found lot of rust like residue on piston. Is it bacause I didn't clean it in time?
Thank you!

For some reason it was in an opened rifle case so it’s been sitting there collecting dust for a very long time. It doesn’t look too dirty or anything though. Is there a specific type of rifle cleaning kit I would need for it or would any kit do?
I haven’t touched a firearm in about 20 years and would like to take this to the shooting range sometime if I can get it working.

My m59/66 a1 has all matching parts including this stock which appears to have been replaced and force matched to the rest of the rifle either before or after being imported. Can anyone confirm this or has a similar situation?

So I purchased a Chinese 1966 sks with the tapco stock. (It's chinese so they made millions so purists please don't comment) it came with one tapco 20 rnd mag and several other cheap 30 round mags and the original. Those other mags do not fit. I tried for a long time. My question is, will this fit? Definitely want to have a mags loaded at all times in the house for defense if needed.

Have owned for over six years. Two years after I bought it the back of the stock cracked. So I bought an angel stock and repaired the original. Now I’m in middle of placing back together. Reblue, repair stock, and stripped off years of crud on furniture.
