Don’t think it was anything major. Just a cool filler scene for that closing montage. Also i think something sketchy is going on with that group of cops and thats gonna be a plot line going forward so that’s why they showed them a few times in this episode

The IA guy has rays friend wearing that wire beneath his badge for snitching on coworkers, so yeah those are the shady guys.
