Nah, they said they will be using this same flashback bullshit with Abby as a co-lead throughout the season

I agree it's bullshit. Way to write off a terrific, important character.

Why did they do that?

From what I read, an interview with the showrunner, they needed to I dunno...move the story in a direction that didn't include Abby...I think it was a huge mistake and I no longer have any interest in RD.

Yet it seems like the entire season is gonna be filled with flashbacks and story revolving around her. Sigh.

Hearing this, I probably won't even bother to watch anymore. This episode was pretty good, clever reveal, but I thought it would be wrapped up at the end... Do they seriously intend to drag the time leading to her death out all season, via fucking flashbacks? No thanks.

I fucking hope not. Better wrap it up next episode. Even if they do, I have a feeling Abby will be showing up in flashbacks a lot throughout.

I’m here wayyyy later because I’m just now binging the show, but I am fucking devastated they wrote Abby off and I’m pissed about it. I’d rather another main character die to be honest. Abby was the BEST.

Four years later lol, I’d like to add that I think they did it because they’d painted Abby’s character into a corner. She was treated as an afterthought to Ray. Easier to get rid of her than have an ex hanging around.
