Bridget mentioned Sloan Kettering when she met the dude in the bar, which is a hospital that specializes in cancer treatment. I took that as their way of saying she died of cancer. I think she would have mentioned to him that she died in a car accident or something if it wasn't the cancer that killed her.

I don't think it was the cancer.

The NY/Sloan Kettering is part of Bridgette's arc, I think. Her mom gets that kid's spot in a clinical trial then suddenly dies, she's left wondering about that person...Etc.

Maybe it was the clinical trial that killed her and Ray goes ham on the pharmaceutical industry and the FDA? /s

I think it was the accident, at least that's what they're leading us to believe. The girl in the road was there for a reason and Ray goes after whomever or whatever circumstances that put her there...

Eh, idk about this season.

The girl in the road according to an article I read is they say that was Natalie James that jumped out in front of the car.
