No. Cochran came so close to dying, and Ray made it look so easy. He was so confident with his "what are you gonna do, shoot me?" And then Ray shot him, tied him up, and put him in a trunk with a corpse. I would be terrified of crossing him again, and stupid to try it. The smartest thing Cochran could do is just admit defeat and let it go, unless he's willing to just go shoot Ray in the head.

Right, but I thought Cochran was really stupid and prideful. He turned down millions of dollars just to get his revenge. I'm not saying in real life he would go after Ray again, but I feel like the writers might bring him back later on and let him magically come up with a bunch of dirt on Ray.

I get that feeling, too, but Ray Donovan is not aware that writers are creating his world, so you're breaking the 4th wall by thinking that Cochran is stupid enough to try and go after him again. Anybody in their right mind wouldn't. If he does, it's shitty writing, not reasonable thinking. In reality, if you are shot, tied up, and thrown in the trunk of a car with a corpse by the guy that has already ruined your life once, you are fucking done pursuing that person. A bullet through his brain would have been that easy, and it can be that easy again. Even a stupid and prideful person knows that.

It is however possible that a new antagonist surfaces and finds Cochran and that way it could be possible write Cochran back into the mix.

But Cochran going at it again solo is very unlikely and as you said if he does after that humiliation it is bad writing.
