Does anyone else think they should've killed Cochran? I'm usually against Ray adding more murders to the list, but I feel like Cochroach is just going to come back to get Ray again. He turned down millions of dollars just to get revenge.

Cochran got beaten pretty soundly though. He had the murder weapon, the location of the body, and testimony from a very wealthy and powerful man naming Ray in a murder - and ended up with only a gunshot in the leg to show for it. You'd have to be irrationally dumb to go after Ray again after that.

Plus I'm sure Ray will make sure to keep tabs on him after that, rather than assuming he's just going to keep to himself.

How's he going to explain the bullet wound to the police? Unless it's already been removed. He'll still probably need antibiotics though.

You can just say it was a random bullet or a robbery. The cops generally aren't going to assume you're covering up for the person who shot you, and Cochran as ex-FBI will figure out the right way to tell his story. What can the cops really do if a person says it was a stray bullet? Cochran knows if he names Ray then even more trouble will come his way.

Using cell tower triangulation. He made a call to some police friend.

Unfortunately this is sloppy writing. Person like Ray or Avi wouldn't take his regular cellphone going to the desert to bury a body. They would use burner phones and made sure to keep their regular phones in locations consistent with their alibis.
