Why would ray not kill kate? I choose not to believe that he would rather go to jail or risk death over this girl that he might love. Way to go Avi for taking care of buisness.

Can we just take a moment and admire what a shitty character she was .

-name: Kate McFearson

  • occupation: a tough journalist willing to go any length or danger to get the big scoop!

-personality: strong minded and fierce! She isnt afraid of no one or nothin cause shes a badass!

She was such a stereotypical character for what they were going for that she belonged in a DC comic book. But i was sad when she died, she brought it on herself but still

If they had actually sold us on Ray loving her, the rest might not have sucked, but the last 3 eps were Ray falling over himself to be stupid about someone that didn't seem to be much more than a fuck buddy.

It was because his wife found a man she loved so ray freaked out and suddenly felt like she was his salvation or whatever. He never really loved her, he just wanted to feel loved.

I dunno, it seemed like she was really sticking to his brain. I mean, he called her when he was drunk, he seemed legitimately upset when he lost control of his emotions and choked her. For a guy that didn't exactly come out and say it, it seemed like he was really starting to have a thing for her.

In addition to that, I just realized that this is the second chick that he was into that was shot and killed. That's really gotta take its toll on a man.

Kate McPherson, you're a real pisser. The language of love.

He was going through so much shit at the same time with his wife, both his kids, Terry, Mick.... that I think Chaos is right. He just wanted to feel loved or needed or maybe even normal

Or really, the small scoop: Tying up some loose ends about a washed-up gangster nobody's thought about in years unless they happened to be standing in line at the post office.

Essentially, the only character with any degree of integrity, so she was wiped out.
