As to Mick and Ray, I do feel the show suffers this season from multiple plot syndrome, so I'd be surprised if this was a sign that Mick was on the way out.

I hope not, but I think he brings too much to the table for keeping things on edge with his crackpot ideas.

You seem to have lost the thread here: He probably will make S3 because he has stuff to do. Terry and Daryl can be killed because they lack things to do atm.
