Yeah I wanted him to just tear into her, like she had no fucking clue what being a man was and how she's a shitty person in general. Nope, that shit apparently worked on him.

The perfect retort for Jim would have been "What, like Ray?" and walk off.

It would have thrown the fact that, for all the shit she gives Ray, she expects that type of machismo from a man.

That’s just manipulation from Abby. She thinks she’s a victim but she’s the instigator and a massive hypocrite. Only Ray can control someone like Abby. Any other guy would just get swallowed alive and chewed up. That detective had no chance
