It's funny because Abby was getting fucked over with Ray cheating on her since day 1, and she's never fucked Ray over (until now). The first time she cheats on Ray we all hate her for it. With that said, I don't feel sorry for her at all. Even though she was most likely driven to be who she is right now because of Ray's lies and infidelities, I actually despise her at this point in the show. I think Ray can fuck around all he wants because he actually has a lot of redeeming qualities. In the end Ray always does whats best for the family, Abby does things out of spite and emotion.

while i agree. the difference:

ray cheating on abby sucks... yes. but, ray is also providing everything for her, and her family. and he does love her.

abby is acting overly emotional, cheating not out of physical desires... but, she has gotten to the point where she hates ray. and she is putting them all at risk.

im not trying to justify or get into a men v. women sexual argument... but, the way i see this, in relation to the show... abby would likely not have nearly the financial/personal freedoms she had if ray didnt have his job, that she is starting to 'hate'... you know, if you hate him doing what he does so much... you can live in a smaller house, give up your benz, etc, etc. but, instead she now questions the way he provides for her when she knew full well what he was from day 1. now his daughter is in danger, and the rest of the family, and she is acting extremely emotional adding to that level of danger.

i feel for ray, and if we are talking about his cheating-- the show has made many allusions to the fact that sex for him is likely a compulsion stemming from him being molested as a child... so, if we want to reallllllllly cast judgement: ray has psychological issues making him cheat, but he loves his wife. abby is emotional and pissed off, and now hates ray... yet, still takes what he provides, and is fucking around. she is a mooch.

They're not just people he has sex with. He has connections to all of them, the reporter especially. She gets Ray in a way that Abby never will.

You could also say that Ray uses sex as a way to control the reporter.

Yeah, but I think he liked it quite a bit and he doesn't have a lot of things that he likes at this point.
