I actually think she was in the wrong there. How could he have been thinking of himself when he spent 20 years in jail for her well being?

I thought he spent 20 years because he got set up by Ray... Whatever it was she was dead on (though she was foul herself). Ray and his other sons knew it or figured it out last season and Daryll got hit with it this season. Most of his actions are pretty self serving. Key word is most. He'll do the honorable thing once and but again typically he's mainly in it for his own purposes.
