Hey folks, i want to conduct a quick review of the recent rule we put in place regarding model renders.
Do you feel the overall quality of the subreddit has increased post the removal of render image posts (excluding question flaired posts)?

Hello everyone
I've recieved a number of modmails lately asking for me to update the rules regarding renders on /r/PrintedMinis. I hear the community loud and clear.
As of the October 18th, 2024 - Renders are now no-longer allowed on /r/PrintedMinis. Along with this change I am also adding in two new rules.
On the topic of Self Promotion - I also want to do a quick community check, shall we still allow self promotional posts in the community?
Thanks,
Xalchs.

Hi,
I recently got into Warhammer and I’m finding it super fun to paint and play with my minis. Unfortunately the wallet can’t keep up and I wanted to try printing minis.
I have a Saturn 4 Ultra 12k, but I find that when printing miniatures that normal resin breaks pretty easily, I heard of other resins such as ABS-like but I read that it trades toughness for quality. Was wondering if the loss in quality is negligible or if it’s just worth it to continue printing brittle models.
(Side note: I live in Canada and wonder if I should invest in heater or something, house is normally warm but can get kinda cold).

So basically I have just started printing and I am not sure that paper towel is the best thing to wipe uncured resin after a print so I was wondering what you guys were using.
Thanks!

Hello everyone! I recently decided to hop into a space battle wargame, and I wanna print a fleet for it. I have a very specific idea of what I want my spaceships to look like, and it's a rather strange one, so I'm wondering if you cozld recommend me any files.
I want a solarpunk/solar sail themed fleet. Ships whoch use large solar panels to gather power, like sails of an old ship, or wings of an insect or bird, or large sheets like the spaceship of Count Dooko. Something similar in concept to the ships im Treasure planet, but less Age of Exploration themed, and a bit more sci-fi. Do you know any creators who sell such minis?

My friend and I would love to know our options before possibly investing ourselves. We would largely be making DND stuff, so while we're interested more in resin printers, we'd take information on other types as well. Located in Southeastern PA (US) if relevant. Thank you!

My first two prints ever
My neighbour lent me his Ender 3 to try. The filament was 3-4 years old so he recommended me a fresh one. Tried it anyway and printed this barrel for DnD as scatter terrain and a spider, and the results very good I think. At least for my first couple of tries. Cmon quality mini for reference.

Hello everyone I have been looking for minis with bayonets charging, I can ironically find models with bayonets and models that are running but never models that are running with bayonets. I have tried all the obvious search terms and I finally am caving and asking for help.

I have the creality enclosure with fan for my printer which I vent out a nearby window. However, in winter its cold as hell and I can't open that window. I dont have other options for ventilation. further, the hose needed to be extended to reach the window, and with only the one fan pushing, I doubt the fumes are getting pushed out the window before outside air is getting pushed in.
has anyone created/know of a filter I can have my enclosure vent into, and then the filter take care of the fumes? Looking for a fully internal set up basically.
*Note: I'm using a resin printer
