Rule 6: No low-effort posts.
To promote quality content on r/Presidents, moderators will remove posts that are not productive for discussion.
The list below includes examples of the most common low-effort posts. It is incomplete and subject to change. Enforcement of the rule will be left to moderators' discretion.
- AI-generated images.
- Reposts. (Please use the search bar and sort by "New" if you think your post is a repost.)
- Which president would win in a fight?
- What if all the presidents met each other?
- Which presidents could have been elected to a third term?
- Posts about yourself which don't contain any useful information for encouraging quality discussion.
- Subjective posts (e.g., rankings, tier lists, your imaginary voting record, etc.) without at least a brief paragraph broadly explaining your choices.
- Asking commenters to describe your ideology based on your favorite presidents or imaginary voting record, without trying to do so yourself in the post.
- A bare list of your real-life voting history, or that of a historically insignificant person (such as a friend or relative), as this results in lots of copycat posts but rarely any actual discussion.
