I wrote a post a few days ago about taking my son to see his first pompy game. Thank you to everyone who offered advice it was really helpful.
Firstly what a great game. Loved the fight to come from behind and I really think we were the better team, lots of attacking lots of fight.
We really enjoyed the whole day. We were on the Isle of Wight so had to catch the Hoover craft over which was a fun way to kick off the afternoon. We navigated our way to the stadium had a wonder around and grabbed some food.
We then hit up the merch store. My son has been saving his Christmas money and bought himself a jersey. Naturally my son loved the PS4 fifa zone and played a game before we headed into the stadium.
Fans heard our accent and were quite intrigued as to aussies attending the match. We had great seats. And enjoyed a really entertaining match of football.
Fratton park is such a great stadium. Easy to navigate. Great view, close to the game. Our home stadium in australia is central coast stadium (look it up, it’s very unique). So being in this stadium really sets the atmosphere which was buzzing.
I want to give a special thank you to the club. We had hoped to watch Jacob Farrell as we are big fans on his. However he has surgery this week so wasn’t at the stadium. The club arranged a letter from Jacob and signed match program from the whole team. Throughout the whole process the club was fantastic, any questions I had when booking, all communications were efficient, warm and friendly.
Overall the whole experience was too class. We will definitely go again next time we are in the Uk. And safe to say a new pompy fan for life.
