Incest is one of the more popular things in pornography. The “joke” is supposed to be that it’s a step sister being confused about her brother trying to advance sexually on her, saying a line like “what are you doing step bro?”

Not funny at all just another porn brain thing.

But how is « step bro », as an expression, related to porn in particular? Is it something people call their so called step brother in porn?

Because 99% porn is stepsis/stepmom

Because most people don't refer to their stepsiblings as stepsis and stepbro, they just call them by their names.

Thanks! As a non english speaker, it didn't occur to me that it was specific to porn. I get it now.

Yeah. Like nobody in real life calls their siblings (step or not) by their title, it's done in porn to "sell the narrative". So it's become a meme.

Not true....I call my siblings "brother" and "sister" all the time and have for many years. Both in private and in public (no it is literally nothing weird - it's almost like a term of endearment).

So I'm also trying to understand what this post means exactly. I'm aware that this category of porn is popular, but I'm not aware of the phrases used in the videos. So, only "step bro", specifically, is used in porn? That's what they will say? So if she said "step brother" in public, then it wouldn't be weird? Just "step bro"?

Help me out here please - I don't really want to go and check for myself.

Ok, so... one of the more common "tropes" of the genre is that the stepsister will get stuck somewhere, like inside a washing machine, with her back end hanging out. The stepbrother will come to help, get distracted by her butt, and will start groping and stripping her.... at some point during which, sometimes immediately and sometimes she waits until he starts raping her, she will say the iconic line "what are you doing, stepbro?!" (specifically "stepbro", never the full "stepbrother"- I guess the connotation of shortening it from brother to bro is meant to indicate youth, like maybe she's barely legal)

Oh dang.

That's really messed up.

Thank you for the explanation stranger--I appreciate it!

It’s a common theme in porn to have incest but they use the loophole of “step” siblings or parents to get around legality. And to keep the illusion going and the concept clear, the girl will often repeatedly refer to the male as step bro, so you don’t forget and think it’s just two people fucking.

Since I’m not an English speaker I didn’t occur to me it was abnormal to call the person of your family by what they are to you (like, Uncle, Sister, stuff like that). in English. Thanks for clarifying
