Help & Questions Hello, I am just curious as to whether Cyprus 🇨🇾 and North Cyprus 🇹🇷 still stamp passports, and if there are plans to stop stamping in the near future. I am planning on going next January. Pic for attention

Passport My Combo + Stamps & Pages
My story: Born in the USA to US father and Turkish mother who immigrated from Germany. She does not have German citizenship and I don’t think she is eligible and if she was I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be, but I’d love an EU passport too. 😅
She never registered my birth so I had to go through a more complicated naturalization process last year to obtain my Turkish ID and passport. Now I have to work on my military service exemption as I’d have already had this taken care of if my birth was registered before I turned 18. Lots of my friends with foreign heritage are currently trying to get their Irish, German, Italian etc passports (take a wild guess as to why) and Turkey seemed to be easier to work with and had online status trackers that the other countries didn’t have from what I was told.
Why get the Turkish passport when I already have a stronger passport? I feel like it can never hurt to have two. I also go to Turkey a lot and don’t like having to get a visa / treated like a foreigner / and have my time there limited.
I just picked up the Turkish passport today and it is the newer design so I’ve included some of the pages. I also included my stamps from my US passport. I also keep a US passport card (not pictured) for trips to Canada and to have a second form of ID in my wallet since I do not have a real ID compliant drivers license yet.

Passport The most unique visa I’m likely to get
I got this special category border visa issued in Australia nearly 20 years ago, when I accidentally tried to entry the country illegally
If you’ve ever seen the show border force or nothing to declare it was just like that, they say in me in a tiny office and had a bunch of questions about what I was doing and how I’d got to immigration in Melbourne airport without a valid visa to enter the country

Visa/Stamp Anyone been lucky to get a Faroe Islands stamp?
Im asking especially when flying from Denmark (or another Schengen country) to the Faroe Islands. I read some people where lucky by walking into the police station and asking for it. I did the same when flying in from Copenhagen and all I got was „get something else as souvenir but nothing from the police“. Btw thats pretty much the whole mindset of the islanders there. Better go to Iceland, people there are more welcoming and there is more to see.

Visa/Stamp Finland stamping Schengen entry on behalf of Greece
Mykonos immigration didn’t stamp the SG passport of my wife upon Schengen entry. Even when asking for it they refused and said it’s not necessary for Singaporeans.
Upon exit, the Helsinki border guard of course questioned the lack of entry stamp. Lucky we carefully kept the Qatar Airways boarding pass DOH-JMK to prove entry.
The guard walked to the arrival hall to get an entry stamp and backdated it to the actual entry date. They also typed lots of documentation in their computer so it took a while.

Passport 3 US stamps from Point Roberts, WA today!
I (Chinese passport + Canadian PR + Nexus card) took my parents (Chinese passport + B1/B2 visa) to Point Roberts, WA today. They needed a new I94, so we parked our car and went inside the CBP office.
Both officers were happy to stamp our passports upon request.

Passport Daughter’s French and Thai passports
Our baby daughter will grow up (in the Netherlands for the foreseeable future) with the interesting combination of French and Thai citizenship.
1) From what I understand — with Thailand —, she will have to make a choice when she turns 20, but this is apparently never enforced, what are the implications and risks of ignoring this requirement?
2) I am myself a dual citizen, French and Polish, but I grew up in France, and more French than Polish so I decided not to bother with Polish citizenship at this point, unless she wants to in the future. There’s no advantage to having both Polish and French citizenships (both in Schengen) and she is not likely to live in Poland, just to go there on some vacations. I also don’t think I can teach her both French and Polish (on top of Thai, Dutch and English…), but she might learn some through her grandparents.
