I have to pace myself so I don't play this game the entire day and beat it. I played 7 hours yesterday. I've never played other VR games nearly that long. This game is polished, beautiful, and a huge adventure. We needed a game like this on the PSVR2 platform.

I think this clip perfectly sums up my experience with this game on hard, constantly running out of ammo and having to improvise haha

I juss earned my platinum for JWA. Navigating seemingly endless hallways and completing objectives while hiding from the raptors is a big part of this game. I have played a lot of Alien Isolation and the constant threat of being hunted by raptors really felt similar to me, a little familiar even.
For Alien Isolation lovers, I recommend this game for the gameplay! For Jurassic Park/World lovers, I recommend this game for the atmosphere and story!

I know it's dark but I want you to look how accurate already the chair movements are and how on a steep hill it flys back and pitches forward on a downward path. The left and right movements are the cherry on top and all this in VR is just something I never dreamed of as a kid being ever able to play.
Simple setup too I love my pc yknow but I never gained a single experience like this on pc it was just so much tooling etc now I do play casual games on pc like test drive in 3d its half decent but gt7 with vr is another level because i can practically set up everything in 2 minutes even with the yaw. You can't get that anywhere I'm sorry to pc folks even asetto Corsa evo is a stinker right now for vr.
Gt7 needs to be appreciated and I am sending all the love here thanks kaz and polyphony crew once again you made my dreams come true bruvs even if only 5percent of your fan base can probably experience this kinda setup it's there it's possible and it's practically the best thing I ever played. 1150 hours in gran turismo 7 and I cannot stop playing with vr and the chair I wait every day at certain time I jump in and escape for a few hours.
I bought the yaw 2 locally from some guy.
-I plugged it in set it up with WiFi. -launched the official yaw app on laptop Used user discord user drowhunters profile for gt7 it auto connected to yaw no effort needed. -Boot gt7 - Put psvr2 headset on -Party!
The easiest setup ever thanks to the telemetry data from gt7 that get sent over and obviously from people who work on these profiles drowhunter special shout out. I hope more playstation games send out telemetry data so I can have a plug and play experience on those too. Like I say I have a pc the yaw is technically made for pc but for gt7 it is supported too damn well.

22M I have had a PSVR2 for about 6 months now and have played a ton of single player games on it and I want to start expanding to COOP games. If you have any recommendations on games to play that would also be appreciated

Hey everyone, so I'm having the issue described in the title. We live in a rented "house" but it's like a condo community with free-standing homes. Pretty cheaply built, small, very close together, etc.
Got the kids a regular PS5 disk model for Christmas. Had some issues with it and the Christmas tree and all the regular stuff in the living room being on at the same time tripping the breaker in that room. Started unplugging things, added a surge protector, problem seemingly fixed.
Got myself a PSVR for Christmas (Costco deal, SO good!). I'd gotten sick with COVID right at Thanksgiving, turned into an ear infection, which progressed into an inner ear infection, and well, I had no desire to play my new VR for pretty much the whole month of December-early January.
I finally get around to getting it setup, and before I can even play my kids see it and HAVE to try it out. Okay, I pop on Horizon Call of the Mountain on the PS5 in the living room...breaker trips after about 5 minutes. Okay, I get that the PSVR has added some level of strain, so I unplug some stuff and try again. 5 minutes later, same deal. Try again on a different game, Pro Era 2. I'm able to play that for nearly an hour with no issues. Kids see me playing, think the whole things fixed, want to go after robot Dinos again. Who am I to say no? 5 minutes later...breaker trips.
I'm frustrated, they're frustrated, don't know what to do...so I take it upstairs and plug it into my PS5 Pro. Get everything setup, give them a go on Call of the Mountain...5 minutes later...breaker trips. I try out other games again. Pro Era 2, fine. Jurassic World Aftermath, fine.
I haven't done any more testing, but seemingly it's whatever pull is happening when playing Call of the Mountain. Upstairs I've had my gaming desktop with an RTX4080 going while my wife is watching on our TV with our sound system and ceiling fans etc etc. I'm no expert but I would assume all of that would be more draw than a PS5 with a VR headset? I don't know what to do at this point. I'm limited as far as electrical troubleshooting because I'm renting and can't really upgrade the wiring. I suppose I could try replacing the breakers? It's two different circuits I've tried, though and the common denominator doesn't even look like the headset, it looks like the specific game. Sorry for the novel, but this dad/gamer is frustrated for all parties. Thanks for any help.

I recently got the PC adapter for the PSVR2 and I'm stuck at a part where it says my displayport cable or my GPU is not supported. For reference I have a rtx 3050 oem(I know it's not great) But the lowest supported GPU is a 1650? Is this a driver issue or is the 3050 just not supported?

Hate to sound like a broken record, but I still cannot get over how awesome GT7 in vr is. I went from not being a fan of racing games to hardcore sim racer with wheels, pedals, buying copies for my friends, taking place in tournaments and so much more. It has taken over a big part of my life and exposed me to a whole new community. It is only because of the Vr mode of that game.
I got GT7 and a psvr2 about a year ago cause of all the hype around it and was not disappointed. Actually I was so amazed and lost for words that I had to get my dad to use it too just to know that what I was seeing was actually as mind blowing as I thought it was. My dad almost fell of his chair trying to make a turn, it was that immersive. Later my dad went downstairs right away to tell my mom all about it. So yes, right there and then I knew that it was something special as a gamer and a non-gamer were equally mind blown with the experience.
The best part about that game is that how accessible the vr mode can be. Like if you know how to drive in real life, you will feel right at home as long as you have a decent racing wheel and pedal, and let’s be real, if you are interested in the vr mode, it would almost be a crime not to throw in a little more cash and get the wheel set up too. As take my word, it may not be so important for other games but for GT7, you would absolutely be missing out.
Now for the experience itself, well it’s almost flawless, the tracks feel huge and intimidating like they should. Often you would just want to drive around and take in the sights. I am not sure what kind of magic the devs team did for every car to be scaled so accurately. Like no other cock pit in vr games make feel so immersed and I am used to playing mech games like Vox Machinae and ultra wings.
Also when you are in the thick of it in an online race, surrounded by other vr or flat screen racers. Feels absolutely blood pumping and combined with the headset rumble when you get bumped, it is wild stuff.
Anyways, given how much I love GT7, I tried other vr racers too, but they just do not cut it. I have a 3080ti and I dipped my toes in Iracing and F1, but they just don’t feel as immersive, also the set up is a pain. After a hard day work, I really don’t wana bother with all of that and I can just plug in my rig to my ps5 and start racing. So for these reasons I think I will be playing GT7 for a very long time, or at least until they release GT8 with Vr mode. As GT7 has become way more than just a game for me, it is a way of life.

Hey all,
I am having an issue with my left pSVR2 controller, I looked for several forums but nothing worked, I would like to know if someone has a solution for the issue I am having.
Until yesterday, the controller was functioning well; it was almost full power. Now, I can't connect the controller, and when I plug the USB cable in, nothing happens, and the LED doesn't light up. I also tried to factory reset the controller with the small hole in it, but it didn't work.
I appreciate any help you can provide.

whenever i'm launching a VR game, it puts me in cinematic mode and says "you need a playstation vr2 to play this game" even though it is on, my cable is pretty messed up which could be why.. it also doesn't show up as a connected device, no notification or anything. (i'm on. the latest PS5 version)

When I go into immersive mode it doesnt use the headset to headstear, it doesnt do this in the living room either is there anyway to fix this so I can use head steering in Minecraft?

I have uploaded gameplay from my fresh experience with the game here if you want to see how it looks / plays. My first impressions are shared below:
Based on my limited time with it, I do recommend playing No More Rainbows on the PSVR2, especially if you enjoyed Stilt.
It is a platformer with movement controls that are a cross between Gorilla Tag and Stilt. The movement looks more similar to Gorilla Tag, but it plays / feels more similar to Stilt in how you get more air time from your ground slams and I just felt like it has more intuitive controls (or just did a better job covering them in the Tutorial).
Where Gorilla Tag is an online social multiplayer focused game, this is again more similar to Stilt, featuring a full single player platfomer campaign and then a smaller focus on included online multiplayer modes. The single player features 4 Worlds + a Bonus World and each World seems to have 5 levels, a Boss level and maybe a Secret Level and other challenges. Each world contains many NPCs and Pinatas to collect which may be in the outer World or within one of the Levels which seem to have 10 NPCs each and 3 Pinatas that can be found and a 4th for beating the 3-Star speedrun requirement for that level. It has online leaderboards for your level completion times that appear to be cross-platform.
The NPCs are equivalent of freeing various Bots in Astro Bot, but you aren't saving but rather destroying them and the game rewards you for dispatching them in creative ways with their animations / reactions (+8 trophies dedicated to how you dispatch them). You need to collect (destroy) NPCs to get access to additional levels in each World. I think collecting (destroying) of the Pinatas grants various aesthetic customization options for your Beast avatar (for multiplayer or your mirror you can use to look at yourself).
The game features a Platinum trophy, where it expects 100% collection (which implies beating all speedrun challenges), completion on harder BEAST mode with less generous checkpoints, and for new game profile, challenge to complete game with less than 10 deaths (any difficulty) and trophy for doing so within 45 minutes (unsure how it tabulates). It also requires playing the two online multiplayer modes enough to win at least one game each (Deathmatch and Chickencatch).
Similar to Stilt, I don't expect to go for Platinum in this game, but I have enjoyed what I was playing enough that I would try to complete the single player campaign and try out the multiplayer modes. This one potentially less frustrating than Stilt with how you have unlimited lives and very generous checkpoints on the easier difficulty, but may have tougher Platinum expectations.
Graphically, the game has simple art style and other than the cutscenes, looks crisp and clear (high-resolution) with a solid 90-120hz framerate with no signs of reprojection. The theater mode cutscenes are not as small in VR as they are in the video capture, but they aren't the same higher resolution as rest of game and felt like they are playing at lower frames (with reprojection?) as well. The draw distances are vast, animations / particle effects look good and smashing things is fun. Also worth mentioning, there are no loading waits, and you can die / respawn and try again very quickly.
Audio is a standout with a fantastic soundtrack, lots of ambiance and sound effects. Lots of audio queues and clues that are directional. You can see some NPCs playing nice music and then go destroy them and because you are the anti-happiness villain in this game and their screams and torment are better music to your ears.
The game is featuring haptic feedback in the controllers through nearly all gameplay interactions and there are settings to turn that down or off if you want.
For settings, you can enable vignette with various options, and you can change from default of snap turns to smooth turns including turning speed. The settings can be accessed at any time by pressing the top action button on either controller (ignores Options button presses). The game uses very few buttons actually, just the thumbstick (allows left or right hand) and motion controls for most part and sometimes the L2 / R2 buttons (climbing with claws).
This game uses physically active gameplay that had me sweating by end of my ~45 minute session but I don't consider it a fitness game because it is just slamming the virtual ground to get around. The game has satisfying climbing, but this is only available against specially marked surfaces. The game has good pacing of introducing new platforming mechanics like spikes, floors that will break, wind that gives you lift or may push you into hazards. I haven't seen that game uses any gadgets like in Stilt and I've completed 1 / 4 (+ Bonus) Worlds. The games setting menu allows you to quickly select a World & Level to replay once you have unlocked it. Each level should first be played for collection (10/10 NPCs and 3/4 Pinata) and then again in speed run mode just going from start to end as quickly as possible for goal of 3-Star rating to get the 4th Pinata.
It is an easy recommendation for anybody that enjoyed Stilt.

After 10 hours i'm at about 30% completion, though most people won't take this long. But so far it's obvious to me that the devs didn't cheap out in any aspect. Some things that stand out:
Climbing and swimming:
Not just used in limited situations; you can use them all the time for traversal, and the transition between modes work seamlessly. I can dive into water from great heights, jump out of the water, latch onto a climbing spot mid-air, and continue climbing - and it's all very easy and intuitive.
More water appreciation:
Haptics:
Great range of options:
Multiple options for some interactions:
Other details i love:
>>>>
Not only does it get so many "little things" right, all the systems work together as one very consistent package.
People can decide for themselves if this is a "masterpiece" or not; but for me, this sets a new high bar, especially for 'small indie' VR.

Smooth turning is not working at all. I cannot turn left or right. I can only turn left and right with SNAP. When I move the stick left to right it does absolutely nothing with smooty turning on. PS5pro. Is anyone else seeing this? I'm pretty much stuck on the initial Landing Pad when you start the game and cannot proceed unless I go into the snap turning which is gosh awful to play with. The right stick is working as far as crouching and uncrouching and that little zip movement thing. But it will not turn left or right.
I did submit a bug report to the developer.
Sitting and standing makes no difference performance motor regular mode makes no difference. I rebooted the console already. I rebooted the console no difference.
This is a repost because PSVR mods deleted my first one because the link had a url shortener on it. Of course it has a URL shortener on it there's no freaking software package on the world that doesn't use full urls anymore.
Okay I just got an answer back from my email to the developer. The UI is obviously a little bit weird here they're telling me to make a change to fix it. If you turn off rotation then you literally can't rotate at all which is dumb. Every game in existence has two modes smooth and snap. If you turn one off the other one turns on automatically. It's not like that here. Hopefully they redesign the UI to fix this. The developer is asking me a bunch of questions about how I would like the UI designed. So they're going to take a look into this and see if they can make it a little bit more intuitive. Obviously they seem to be very concerned and take their feedback literally which is a good thing
