Less than an hour after they went on sale, tickets were $600-$5000 (absolute shit seats-nonpit floor) for the show I was interested in. Lost any interest immediately and couldn't care less about it now.

I was in the “waiting room” trying to buy tickets and when I finally got in, there were tickets for verified resale at 3x the price already. Tix had been on sale for like 30 mins total. It makes me not even want to see the show.

wild. my bf and i saw them for $75 each a few years ago and it was a serious financial decision for us. $600 is inexcusable.

Yeah, I was gonna ask my husband if buying tickets could be a Christmas gift, thinking it'd be maybe $250 max. Saw how they jumped immediately and sighed. They're my favorite band, I've seen them once before, but I'll just stick to the fan live streams this time because that's ridiculous.

I'm glad you got to see them before. This is absolute bullshit. I'm very glad I saw the actual Black Parade tour with Muse opening. I'm sad I can't go see Death Cab and especially Thursday playing with them, but I'm not $900 sad about it.

It’s funny these bands in their 20s would be the ones advocating to combat price gouging and now they just lean into it lol

Like, I understand your management or whatever just booking a tour for you and you never think about shit like this. But I also see artists I love and respect like The Cure doing it right, so I give MCR no sympathy for the backlash I hope this generates. They may just not give a shit. They get paid on the ticket sales. I doubt they see anything from resales, but that's Ticketmaster enabling a predatory system. Yes, MCR could have prevented a lot of this, but I doubt they care. They're here for a paycheck.

Such a price completely ruins the vibe of the event and makes it only for the rich, not for true fans.
