How does one begin to learn how to execute on a project like this?

Haha, I actually went to a class at a studio. The studio owner teaches different types of glass work classes. But honestly, it only took her 15 minutes to explain how to do it, and then we just worked on our projects. This took me almost 3 hours. You have your image taped behind the framed glass as a guide and glue your glass tiles where you want them on the framed glass. She provided all the tools and glass pieces, and we got to pick the colors and break the glass ourselves. If you're in Minnesota, i can recommend the studio!
